Backwards isn’t it?
Stupid jerks can’t even do a proper swastika. The sucker is reversed. What a bunch of losers!!!
Can’t anyone ever do anything right anymore??
Maybe it was meant to be a buddhist swastika?
Well I’m not gonna get knots in my toga about that. Probably a thoughtless act of youthful stupidity.
WW2 Finland used a similar device as a national marking(roundel)…It was blue on a white field….the NAZI swastica was black on a white field.
Actually this is a replica of a venerable Hindu (fertility?) symbol.
Well, it’s looking like it was some horny Hindus or dyselexic Nazis.
Either way I’m sure the MSM will get to the bottom of this.
Sohi said. “Whenever you see this kind of behaviour depicted in a public place, it really raises that concern that we continue to work towards dealing with these situations and seeing what actions need to be taken so they don’t happen again in the future.”
Gawd, what mindless drivel. Does it really raise a concern with you? Really? I suppose running them over with an air seeder wasn’t an ‘appropriate action’. Next thing you know they’ll be hoping the vandalism was merely a thoughtless act, rather than a co-ordinated effort to make a racist statement. Oh, never mind.
Well, it probably started out as a Christian cross but the vandals likely realized the outrage that would cause so they quickly changed it into a less offensive image. /s
LOL syncro! Probably just the village idiots.
Probably some leftist useful idiot sent some useless idiot out to do this.
Those twits are making the real white supremacists look dumb.
LC Bennett has won the thread.
Lots of different cultures used the “swastika”, both backwards and forwards, long before Nazi Germany came to pass. A lot of the Metis artifacts around Northern Alberta feature it.
Here is a link to some supposedly Indian stuff from SK: http://www.royalsaskmuseum.ca/research/faqs/ex_8.shtml
sasquatch and turtle have it right. This symbol is ancient and was around long before political entities such as right and left.
LC Bennett, that was an interesting thought and you might be onto something.
Yep, nothing like making a mountain of an ancient swastika on a molehill.
Yawn. What a bunch of maroons making up some contrived outrage.

If this doesn’t “reflect what Edmonton is all about”, what do we need YOU for again?
Actually the way it is it actually is a greating over in nepal i see this all the time over there i was wierded out by it at first but then they told me it is there way of saying welcome …no seriously !!
Call in the jackyl. He’s a master sleuth in matters such as these.
Just exactly what the nation’s great Nazi Hunters have been warning us about. The next Nazi movement is living in Mom and Dad’s cellar and plays video games when it is not shocking us all with backwards swastika graffiti. Oh the horror! Somewhere someone feels threatened!
How does Mr. Race Hustler know this was a case of “racism”? The utes were only described as “males”.
Looks like Hot Cross Hedy should be called in to investigate.
It’s a real swastika when viewed from hell.
Actually this may just reflect exactly what Edmonton is all about. A secret mecca of Nepalese ‘hello’ mongers. Who knew?
I’m hoping that the media will write this off as the work of idiots rather than actual … conservatives!
However, just because Stephen Harper wasn’t actually witnessed at the scene … it is Alberta, after all.

Well, these sort of pranks may or may not be a joke, Dick (10:13), depending on how one defines “joke”, but the entirely faux hyperventilation surrounding it certainly is a joke. When anonymously drawing – or scouring, or etching, or scraping, or painting, or mowing – a swastika is a guaranteed ticket to media attention people are going to draw swastikas on the Queen’s property – particularly when the Queen’s property is an unpopulated piece of turf six thousand miles away from Buckingham Palace, and conveniently proximate to someone’s parents’s basement.
If drawing a penis or a Habs crest drew the same amount of “outrage” from various adults as a swastika does, and the same amount of media attention, we’d be seeing a lot more penises and Habs crests.
Yes, a Swastika is “notorious.” Hence….
It was most likely Hindu “youth”. Someone should report the park people for interfering with their cultural freedom of expression to the CHRC.

Have you been to West Edmonton Mall lately? It feels like you’re in Changi Airport Singapore. Not in itself such a bad thing, I like Changi, but the occasional hostile “get off our turf’ stares by obvious immigrants mostly in groups here in Canada is gut wrenching.
In an effort to try and find the positive in unpleasant occurrences, I note that The Jackal isn’t getting any younger and he’ll have no trouble seeing this latest abomination without having to wear his reading glasses.
It isn’t racism. Swastikas are easy to draw. Giant dicks are harder to draw.

I wouldn’t know, betcha any money that regular SDA troll Alex could vouch for it though. Me thinks he could draw either frontwards and back, left or right handed.
