  12. CBC has a week long hatefest going on.
    There are at least 3 threads going where the Harper haters are venting,and attempting wit. So far the most popular comment about PMSH’s frank talk about security is “Harper is the real threat to Canada” and a dozen or so variations on the basic theme.
    They have a poll up that asks if you agree with the Prime Minister that radical Islam is the biggest security concern facing Canada. 65% think otherwise.

    Being a curious fellow,I wrote a polite comment asking,”If it isn’t islam, then who is the biggest security threat? ” Unfortunately,the cbc won’t post it as it contravenes their guidelines.

    I did get the question up last night. The few who responded came up with these groups, the FLQ, KKK, JDL, Christians, and of course, the Cubans. I’m not kidding.

  16. I submitted this comment to the “Harper Govt.” article. Of course it didn’t get by the censors.
    The media were using the term “Harper Government” derogatorily and with disdain months before the PMO decided to go along with it and take the wind out of their sails.
    Now the left wing media are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.
    I’ll be surprised if this comment from a taxpayer who pays the moderators salary gets posted, since CBC was one of the main perpetrators of the derogatory “Harper Government” label.

  17. Some interesting stuff going on with Obama’s chosen green industry. The FBI has raided Solyndra, manufacturer of ‘cylindrical’ solar panels. The company received $530 million in loans from the FFB (Federal Financing Bank) and the DOE (Department of Energy} before laying off 1,100 workers and declaring bankruptcy.
    A few interesting facts: Solydra principals met with Obama admin. officials in the White House more than 20 times prior to receiving the taxpayer funded loan. One of the primary investors was George Kaiser who happens to be a fund raising bundler for Obama.

    And of course, the ‘investors’ are first in line for repayment – meaning that (1) investors who knew they were investing in a high risk venture will be bailed out by the US taxpayer and (2) the 1,100 workers will go on the dole, also paid for by US taxpayers.
    Obama: consistently benefiting by picking losers. How very, very socialist.

    A new poll by Harris/Decima suggests that the Ontario Liberal Leader is headed for a third straight term on Oct. 6, with an 11-point lead over Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak.
    The gap between the two front runners has narrowed in recent weeks in the run-up to the official launch of the provincial election campaign. But this is the first poll where Mr. McGuinty is the clear front runner.
    *IMO: A must read are the comments to the article, Hudak is everything from a babyface, to harris clone.
    Well dont judge a book by its cover as the old saying goes in ref to Hudak, However in the case of McGuinty we in Ontario all ready know the book & cover by verse, All 8chapter/yrs worth of Tax Increase’s.

On the plus side, however, is that I think the campaign is the opportunity for Hudak to gain ground — whereas McGuinty is a known quantity and his support will likely remain stagnate or drop. McGuinty is running on his record primarily and many do not like his record. Many feel that they do not know Hudak at this point but will have an opportunity to get to know him better over the next several weeks — as long as he does not screw up at Tory did.

    I haven’t noticed much of a difference. What I have noticed is that the moderators have become more hostile towards those that don’t support the CBC’s ‘unbiased’ position of ‘left good,right bad’. This results in more comments from the ‘enlightened’ which may have given you that impression,or you just might be right.
    The Globe and Mail seems balanced compared to the comments that the CBC permit. Perhaps the CBC is rounding the wagons as they are being attacked.
    BTW,the moderators are volunteers who donate their time for the thrill and experience of working for Canada’s voice. The exceptional ones get to ‘date’ Heather Mallick.

    The cbc is not allowing comments,good thing,because the outrage of all Canadians ,of every political stripe,would be deafening. I think that this story should remain #1 throughout the weekend, I can’t think of anything more tumultuous that could possibly displace it.
    BTW,notice that it was released late on a Friday afternoon. The horror.
