Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Libya…two weeks post-Qaddafi
you think he was bad ? wait for it…..
I had a picture of the tsunami folks of south asia, and the guy was begging for US food aid while wearing an osama bin laden T-shirt. Somethings never change in the 3rd world.
There was a brown paper bag burning on Obama’s doorstep, the bell rang and he answered the door. He saw the bag and stomped on it. Guess what it was full of?
The trick will be when Obama has to ‘splain why Lybia is now a worse enemy of the West than it was under KaDaffy. Or … how he got all that poop on his shoes.
How can they fire rounds in the air unless their finger is on the trigger?
hate to say “I told ya so” but “I told ya so”…
After Helping To Overthrow Gaddafi, Obama Admin Worried About Vast Stockpiles Of Conventional And Chemical Weapons Falling Into Hands Of Terrorists
WASHINGTON, Aug 22 (Reuters) — The United States has pressed for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to step down, but a leadership vacuum raises concerns about the security of Libya’s weapons stockpiles and the danger of them falling into the hands of adversaries, officials said on Monday.
Libyan rebels have taken over most of Tripoli, Gaddafi’s location is unknown, and great uncertainty exists about who will eventually end up in charge of the country.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers warned of security concerns while Gaddafi’s rule crumbles.
“Even after Gaddafi is out of power we will have to step up and lead to ensure U.S. national security interests are safeguarded,” Rogers, a Republican, said in a statement. “In particular, we must ensure that Gaddafi’s stockpiles of advanced weapons, chemical weapons and explosives don’t fall into the wrong hands.”
The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in February said Libya kept 9.5 tonnes of mustard gas in a secret desert location guarded by the army, but had destroyed aerial bombs designed to deliver chemicals in 2004 as part of a short-lived rapprochement with the West.
Gaddafi’s stockpiles of chemical agents are still being closely guarded by forces loyal to the Libyan leader, a U.S. official told Reuters on Monday.
Captain Dave….that “celebratory” gunfire must inflict a lot of “colateral casualties and damage roofs etc…
I recall back in the day McNamara was not ammused when he learned, that although Hanoi was off limits for attack, that US bombers were exiting full throttle over Hanoi. Seems the NVA encouraged everyone to shot at them…even AK’s…a moral thing…problem was all that ordinance was falling back on the city like hail….those who witnessed it, observed that when a jet passed overhead…get under something really solid.
I wonder if this year,at Hallowe’en, maybe I should just hand out some 7.62 X 39 cartridges, and cut out the middle man.
sasquatch
60-90 grain bullet falling at 120 mph???????
wouldn’t penetrate much
Giving to UNICEF is giving to Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood, everyone knows that.

Phantom,
He obviously never took the Canadian Firearms Saftey Course and learned about ACTS.
He obviously does not have a PAL. I bet his firearm is not registered either.
despite what we are taught in school , a bullet does not come down as fast as it went up . yes terminal velocity is about 120 mph
exit speed 700 to 1500mph

muslims shooting each other, hmmm, which side to root for? Bring our soldiers home. Let the bast*rds fight it out themselves. Afganistan too. With luck this will be a long civil war.
I can’t tell if that’s Libya or London.
I got a rock.
When these dummies open up a Mustard Gas canister it won’t matter which way the wind was blowing..
‘Holy Allah’ Achmed!
“Your hair becomes orange!”
A Kodak moment if there ever was one.
“I got a rock.”
And I got Iraq!

Leading candidate for best one liner of the Libyan uprising.
[Sarcasm on] Should bring this picture up for Halloween – UNICEF should advertise how the funds our children are raising are being spent…. Should bring in millions of dollars more. [Sarcasm off]
That guy is supacool, plus the shirt was free…
Looks like UNICEF collecting in the “hood”.
They should open the canisters … to make sure they’re full….
I remember the first year or two when my kids (adults now) were handed these boxes in school to collect … we, as good parents through them in the garbage.
It has to be at least a decade since I’ve seen on of those boxes at our door.
What dmorris and Terry Anderson said. Trick or treat is right. It probably will not take long to find out what the trick will be.
“Looks like UNICEF collecting in the ‘hood’.”
LOL!
March of (Dropped) Dimes gone horribly wrong.

They wear the shirt as they see it as being no different than U.N blue..basically, a ‘I can shoot the crap out of anything and you can’t touch me’ get of jail free card..
I experienced the same thing in Eritrea..U.N..U.N.. the crowd would cry, with hands out..the minute you had delivered aid, they would start throwing chunks of concrete at you..
They all thought it was great fun : get free stuff and abuse a western power at the same time..
Thanks Mark R that’s him.
I was pulling garbage out of that car and calling 911 as he lit it and subhuman freaks posed for the cameras on the hood.
The 911 operator didn’t even want to hear the description of this POS and would not send anybody to get him. One third of the group of riot cops standing around the corner 200 yards away with clubs and full body armour could have stopped this right away if they had just walked toward the cars.
OPSEU rules though.
