From budgets to the border, diversity to disease, manufacturing to manhood, Steyn looks at the American undreaming, and provides a glimpse of the post-American world. There’s laughs along the way, and a few suggestions as to how total civilizational collapse might be avoided.
It’s hard to imagine a “post-American” world, who are all the losers going to blame for their lack of prosperity?
At least if Americans did, they would be right.
You know in this day and age it may sound selfish but i am not sure i am against a total collps of the system …i mean everything …so long as there are people who will rebuild it and rebuild it right restoring earth and the west to it’s once natural beauty !!

Sadly, the only way for Europe-based societies to survive is for the women to go back to traditional wife/mother roles and the countries to stop immigration. And good luck with that. LOL
It’s like this.
Civilizations, empires, countries and other such organized societies come and go. One would think that each new of these would be improvement over the previous one.
It appears, not so. Other than intellectual development, technology, science, the behaviour of homo sapiens remains mostly stone age.
There are those that prefer to rule over others. Others mostly don’t care as long as they get something out of it.
Then there are those that love freedom. One would think that every human being does.
For most it is weighed proposition. There are those that will trade freedom for political belief, for a flat screen, a front seat at concert.
The general population will degenerate and corrupt higher principle little bit by little bit, drop by drop until those that don’t succumb to the current trends will be vilified, charged and toward the end of an era put in prison for no other reason than they disagree.
Growing up in a socialist country run by communists, we thought that it would never end. The only reason for that was the total control of the ruling class over everyone who was not.
As the 20th century was coming to an end the unthinkable happened, the totalitarian empire and it’s satellites came to an abrupt and relatively peaceful end.
And now, we have the country that others, everywhere else, that love freedom, were looking to for inspiration, that put in their constitution “Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness” for everyone who chooses, coming to an inglorious end.
This, in spite of inheritance of intellectual wealth from every corner of this earth. Actual knowledge of how to avoid calamity.
Who is responsible?
Proles don’t care, they would rather just watch the flat screen, have a beer and are happy. Are they?
Those in the middle, the upwardly mobile, they don’t care as long as everything works for them. Are they?
The rich, they don’t care as long as they can maintain being rich, they can work with communists, socialists, fascists, as long as they make another dollar. Are they?
Funny if not sad, as has been said before, “the people will get the rulers they deserve”.
Too bad there are so few that uphold freedom as an essence of human existence.
The old white guys some 200 years ago were practical idealists. It seems it could not last.
The politicians corrupted every fibre of the fabric of today’s society, of course it was at the behest of the ruled. They give a lot of lip, it does not count, it’s what they do and that is the crux.
A new era is coming. It will no doubt start better than this that, that is coming to an end.
The destruction of America, a Western, Christian society, is what the radical left considers ” progress”. In their amoral view, any lie may be told, any crime committed in pursuit of this destruction. Everything they do and have done – nuclear disarmament, the creation of a counterculture, environmentalism, uncontrolled immigration from non- Western cultures, the establisment of a welfare system that produces lifelong dependency, the transformation of the criminal justice system into something whose aim is not to protect society from criminals, but rather assumes that society is as much to blame as the criminal, and hence is very ready to exonerate or excuse criminality, a simultaneous transformation of a constitutional, limited government into an authoritarian government which tells the citizenry how they shall live their lives, and how to think, is, in their view, progress. They claim to be the protectors of the weak, and humanitarian in action, but their true selves are revealed in their actions: their aim is power, and vengeance.
If the US does go over the edge, the result will be chaos across the world.

Personally, I DO expect different results. Because we KNOW better.
If we can rouse enough of us who do NOT Live life on the dole but support those who do, get off our duffs, as the Tea Partiers have done in the States
become as vocal as the parasitic left and refuse to fund their maniacal rush to destruction we can turn this thing around.
All of those in the Vanguard of this effort ( Rush Limbaugh,Mark Levin, Mark Steyn, Ezra Levant, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck,Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Paul Rand, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie and all the various Tea Party organizations (not to mention our own sensibilities as conservatives) need support and vocal confirmation of our values and commitment to the cause of “Taxed Enough Already”
If not now, when? The left have come so close to accomplishing their ends, which is to destroy what America is. They have accomplished an enormous amount because we have been unaware we were under attack from within.
Well, we sure know it now. If nothing else taught us this, this last disgusting display in Washington should make it as plain as the noses on our faces. No amount of sitting back is enough.
I believe that the Tea Party folks in the US are even more galvanized than ever after the Washington debacle of 2011.
We have been able to accomplish a conservative government in Canada after years of trying.
Taking back the US is going to be much harder because time has run out and much needs to be done NOW.
It was said in the heat of battles past “Don’t shoot until you see the whites of their eyes.”

I used to wonder why in Athens, Rome, including the middle East or Babylon with other cultures. That haD three times or more odf a slave population than citizans. Why there where not many revolts. I now know why. Some folks are just natural born slaves. For a free meal or entertainment , they are all too happy to sell themselves to the higest power freak.
Like our homeless they don’t want to work. Its why so many anchient plays make fun of the lazy slaves.
