@batb: Jesus is the liberator of women so I doubt he likes the burka either. BUT, that being said, he works through us and this should be dealt with when Muslims apply for visas, and definitely have been settled by the time they become Canadian citizens.
The government is supporting this practice by their lack of a solid policy on it.
No immigration to adherents of female suppression whether based on culture and/or religion has to be the official hard-line government position.
