  1. Glenn, I wonder if Jack would break into Queen’s ‘Bicycle Race’, while peddling the CCM down to the CC (community clinic) for a 0.5 and 0.5?

  2. Stephen:
    I also thought that transmitting poll results within 48 hours of the election was illegal, but I looked up the Canada Elections Act, and this is not true. I, like you, believe it was illegal a few years back, but that section has apparently been repealed.
    What’s really amazing, and again, completely unreported by the MSM, is the total collapse of the Green vote. In the last election, they received nearly 7% of the total vote; now, according to Nanos, they are down to 3.1%, and are only above 5% in, predictably, BC.
    Finally, I checked a bunch of web sites. Shiatsu does not require you to be naked, does not involve any oils, and requires training. I have had a few professional massages from RMT’s (not Shiatsu) – I was always told to leave my underwear on, the room was always very brightly lit, and there were no big signs saying “MASSAGE” outside – the business signs said “Physiotherapy – RMT” or similar.

  3. Glenn that was awesome. Now we need a Brian Johnson sound alike and put up YouTube video.

  4. If there are tapes then organized crime will be keeping them very safe for when, or if, Jack gets anywhere near real power.
    Whoever leaked this now may have done Canada a very big favour.

  5. it’s late so forgive me.
    this one is for Eskimo and the CRTC:
    You get a shiver in the dark
    You’re cycling through the park but meantime
    South of your beltline you hold everything
    A sign is blinking ‘Shiatsu’ double four time
    You feel all tight as you make the doorbell ring
    And now you step inside but you don’t see too many faces
    Comin’ in out of the snow to drop your pants on down
    Competition in other places?
    They ignore the horns they don’t get the ‘rounds’
    Like on upstairs, upstairs, in Chinatown.
    You check out Shiatsu Sue, she knows what to do
    but she’s strictly rhythm she doesn’t wanna make you cry or sing
    Yes and a ol’ kimono is all she can afford
    Then she gets the green light to play his thing
    And Johnny doesn’t mind, when gets to vent his spleen,
    He’s got a daytime job, he’s doin’ alright
    He can play the honky tonk like anything
    Savin’ it up for Friday night
    He is the Sultan… He is the Sultan of Schwing!
    And now a crowd of young cops they’re inspecting every dark corner
    Opening doors collecting Kleenex in baggies and saving souls
    They do give a damn about those trumpet playing hands
    But only if they see them on the pole
    Of the Sultan… Yeah on the Sultan’s wee peole
    Peole
    And then The Man steps right into the ‘bed’ room
    And says at last as the Red light shines in
    ‘Goodnight, now it’s time to go home’
    ‘And make it fast’ and says one more thing
    ‘You were the Sultan.. Now you’re just Sulkin’ on a Schwinn…’

  6. What a dump. It looks like every sleazy message parlor one could imagine.
    Tali-ban Jack perhaps whats his own harem. Its why he loves Islamist more than Canadian soldiers. They have the same mind. Loot & pillage while having concubines.

  7. Layton didn’t know it was a bawdy house…
    Here’s a reality check for the CBC: go tell your wife or girlfriend you will be getting a massage at the Velvet Touch massage parlour.
    You will be getting a massage alright, but it will be on the side of the head with a number 4 cast iron frying pan.

  8. “Rise Up! Rise UP!!”
    Hmm, seems this Iggy and Jack coalition thingy is a little older than we thought…

  9. Abrasive NDP MP Pat Martin verbally attacks another all-candidates questioner and gets his facts wrong
    **********************************
    The statement above by Pat Martin and Jack Layton’s extra curricular illegal activities would explain why Pat Martin finds the NDP a comfortable place to call home.

  10. It was a private “massage clinic” — pffft yeah right! I’ll bet the under age prostitution, drugs and gambling were simply a front to distract Jack from the stuff in the back he’d find really objectionable — knee arthroscopies.

  11. From the Montreal Gazette:
    “The result of this election hinges on the last thoughts going through voters’ minds before casting their ballots on Monday, the results of a poll on voter stability suggest.
    Poll results have been indicating support for the NDP is climbing consistently. But with 61 per cent of those polled saying they might change their mind before election day, the “orange wave” could either turn into a tidal wave or prove to be little more than a ripple.
    “The NDP is unique,” said Conrad Winn, president of the polling company COMPAS. “It’ll be feast or famine for them on Monday.””

  12. DrD hits the nail on the head.
    With left wing government you get a licensed “sex work” establishment on every corner. But private health facilities to ease human suffering? Illegal and immoral!!

  13. Bang on Ellie, I wonder how old the massage therapists was and if she were an illegal alien? At the very least why wasn’t he charged with being a suspected or alleged John?

  14. The NDP promotion department just announced
    an agreement with Iving toys.
    Look for the new
    Jack Layton Rub and Tug Pull Toy,coming soon.

  15. This must be STRAIGHT FROM THE TORY PLAYBOOK because I saw it used during the mayoral election in my hometown of Sudbury.
    On the FRIDAY BEFORE THE ELECTION, the Conservatives used an ‘ANONYMOUS source’ to release some vague & ancient piece of information about their labour opponent through the Conservative-run SUN MEDIA outlet. Then the OPP racket squad was called in to investigate the leak/make it disappear.
    This LEAVES NO TIME to actually investigate the SMEAR. It should be illegal. Why does the media enable this?

  16. Also the comments on this page that are both fake feminist and South Park sarcastic say way more about the Tory base than anything else I have seen.
    One question – why release decade old information this on the freaking Friday before and election?
    It was a scummy move.

  17. Desperate political parties do desperate things. Most desperate right now ?? Liberals, of course. This caper was easy for them as their buds in the media have known all the details, documents for some time now – Coyne, kinsella, ect.

  18. Rose
    […..At the very least why wasn’t he charged with being a suspected or alleged John?…..]
    Because there is some merit to the old saw “You can’t fight City Hall.” Or for a street cop….”do so at your peril”…..”all animals are equal but some are more equal than others.”
    A BC Premier in Hawaii is just another DUI tourist….in BC he gets quietly driven home…..
    While I am worldly enough to not get too excited about this faux pas of Layton…..I do concede that mine is a minority opinion.
    Because my political choice is solid this has little or no influence on how I will vote…..or any other decided voters….such as Luther……the swing vote is quite another matter.
    Despite the MSM attempts to rebury this….it is going viral…..and politically explosive…probably by the cover-up attempt…”Watergate syndrome”.
    The nature of this matter (sex scandal) will inspire many voyeurs to investigate further….making cover-up attempts futile.
    It is not a baseless smear…it is a valid revelation…….
    It is a game changer.
    I agree with Steyn…this has LPC written all over it….it’s their style….too much scrutiny present for the Tories….

  19. Sas, yesterday hubby googled Jack Layton and the story was in top spot today I googled Jack Layton and not a whiff about this story however someone’s been busy getting all the positive articles about Jack at the top of the google page. Yes it has Liberals written all over it, the NDP are pro-legalized sex trade industry so they have no votes to lose.

  20. I’m all in for hoisting a cold one with Jack. Anybody who can find a “community clinic” called the Velvet Touch Massage Parlour has gotta know all the best places to go for a beer.

  21. Since this story was known about and written about over the years … the real story is … how it has been shoved down the memory hole.
    I’ve been trying to dif it up …. but somehow the searches refuse to cough up anything beyond the last year.
    The fact that Jack Laytoon is a sleazy little pr!ck is NOT News.

  22. Velvet Touch – A Community Clinic – Who Knew????
    Olivia Chow was quick to release a written statement, that husband Jack Layton indeed did attend a “registered massage clinic” and she was well aware of it and he “needed a massage” late in the evening.
    Jack Layton, later at a rally in Burnaby, was quick to point out and clarify Olivia’s comment, that in fact it was a “community clinic” (Velvet Touch – good name) where he obtained his services. In trying to protect his political career, and in tune with the NDP philosophy, he felt it very important to stress it was a “community clinic” not to be confused with a private clinic. It was essential in the middle of this election, to inform Canadians, in order to solicit their support, he wouldn’t be caught dead at a private clinic, a for profit health care facility, where illegal, underage, Asian sex workers, would be employed by rip off artists, in the Canadian health care field – it would have to be a community clinic he patronizes – there should be no confusion. The reason that it was late at night that he was there, we would also assume was that he didn’t jump the queue, but waited his turn. A good leader leads by example.
    I wonder if Canadians becoming more aware of the fine details of the NDP health care platform and of Layton’s expansion of health care services to include these “community clinics”, help explain the surge in support for the NDP in this current election. Does anybody in the main street media have a better explanation for the NDP surge and why are they reluctant to discuss this NDP expansion of Canada’s health services?
    Why and how could the Toronto city police confuse a community clinic with a bawdy house?

  23. today I googled Jack Layton and not a whiff about this story however someone’s been busy getting all the positive articles about Jack at the top of the google page
    Al Gore is a major shareholder in Google.
    People should be shaming Jack for patronizing a 2nd floor community clinc(above a used bookstore) that obviously doesn’t have any handicapped access.

  24. Joey at April 30, 2011 6:52 PM: “Jack was trying to save taxpayers money because he was only getting one small part of his body massaged.”
    =========
    Emphasis added for clarity.

  25. BTW anyone calling this a smear or whatever is out to lunch completely. Jack seems to think this is no big deal. Nothing wrong with being caught buck naked face up on a bed in a community clinic massage parlour known for illicit sex trade activities. So how is this a smear to report on that then? Jack and his wife say it’s ok so they think nothing is wrong here. That’s not a smear.

  26. Whoremaster. Pig. Scumbag. Perfect PM for Canada The Infinitely Tolerant And Forgiving.

  27. As an NDP supporter this news really rubs me the wrong way. I congratulate Jack since this did not seem to get a rise out of him. I’m curious as to how his pole will respond…..

  28. So Jack is in the parlour, looking for relief,
    Olivia’s with her lawyer, drawing up a brief;
    Michael’s in the studio, the voters to invoke,
    Gilles is on the radio, the Anglos to provoke;
    Stephen’s at the podium, prognosticating doom,
    Lizzie’s filled with odium,(pollution we presume);
    The rest of us are wary, what might the future hold?
    It’s all been pretty scary,what horrors yet be told?
    The dawn comes up like thunder, just like old Rudyard said;
    And we are made to wonder, and we are wont to dread;
    For we know that it’s folly, and we know just what it cost,
    And we know for sure, by golly, that it’s all of us who lost.

  29. Wacko Jacko lived in taxpayer-subsidized housing until he was caught. No surprise that Wackoff Jackoff wanted taxpayers to pay for his “massage therapy” under medicare. He’s a typical NDP thief like sticky fingers Svend and shoplifter Lorne Nystrom.
    As Margaret Thatcher observed, the only problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.
