Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

It’s that new transparency thing he’s got going.
If the WH can’t alter it,,,it’s not news.
I’m awestruck at the Progressive’s and their collective belief that they can literally combat the world’s ills with song.
I don’t blame Barak Obama for the displeasure of the liberal Left. If Jack wins the PMO he too would quickly have to abandon many of his ‘pie in the sky’ positions. Like I said last week, “Jack Layton is Barak Obama”. We’re just lucky he’s not handsome, hip and black.
I believe that Barak Obama will win the 2012 election. We’ve seen how retarded the voters in Canada appear to be, and I now expect less from the Americans. That said, I’d be very weary of gas and oil prices were I the One. He is very vulnerable on the energy policy front. People have all but discounted Sarah Palin at this point; but, energy policy is her strong suit. I’m not sure if she’s got her eye on the White House, but she would be a very strong VP candidate, and could have a large influence in American energy policy. This would be good for the United States, and good for Canada(or the Republic of Western Canada depending on Monday).
Well, I can dream can’t I?
“Jack Layton is Barak Obama”. We’re just lucky he’s not handsome, hip and black.”
If he was, Torontonians would crown him Emperor Jack I, and secede from Lesser Canada.
Who knew the new messiah was lurking among us all these years,in the guise of a freeloading socialist who’s never earned an honest dollar in his life.
We may yet have to endure Layton as PM,briefly.I hope to heaven the Yanks are searching diligently for a candidate that can defeat Obama, they sure don’t have one yet.
What’s with my fellow Conservatives here today? Jack Layton will not be PM come Tuesday…Harper will get his majority…The media had to have their horse race…Jack is connecting with “miss all emotional Queerbec” who are still as immature and illogical as ever…Jack will be a flash in the pan like Mario Dumont’s ADQ was.
Jack supporters have mostly touch bases on social networks because it was cool to vouch for Jack in unison…you know, group think…Let’s see if they turn out en masse to vote now.
“I get that all powerful people and institutions want to control their image and their message. That’s part of their job, to create a mythology that allows them to continue being powerful.”
No. Although controlling the press is something that every politician tries to do, it is not part of true public service. The above quote, craven and evasive as it is, shows how far from a truly critical attitude the San Francisco media is and how far from critical it will probably remain. Obama may not be into them, but they are definitely still into him.
Dear Rt Honourable Terry Tory at 4:52 p.m. – I am praying for a Conservative majority, but there could be a NDP lead coalition gov’t. To my everlasting shame, I DID vote for the NDP back in the early 90’s in Ontario because I wanted to punish the provincial Liberals for dragging us into a needless election. I NEVER thought the NDP would form a majority gov’t. It is my understanding from a friend who still lives in Toronto that it has taken 20 years to undo the NDP damage and that is counting in all the spending which the McGuinty Liberal gov’t has done. My friend in Toronto says he will have to move to where? if the NDP get in on Tuesday. I am voting and praying for a Conservative majority.
