Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella

When the gophers get road killed it’ll be from drowning.
I’d say Mister Ignitionoff is definitely out-of-order, and is actually of an identity undefined. I know I would NOT want this self-proclaimed egghead overseeing our country, either as a Liberal head or small c Coalition version of Moe Howard.
Sorry! I meant to include the Igneutered One in the road-kill statistics of rats drowned in the backwash of their own ego.
Gordie Howe will need a raise from Quacks Galore, otherwise known as Duck Unlimited, for all his wailing about dissapearing wetlands there a couple of years ago. It is going to get harder and harder to find dullards to believe in this SCAM glowball warming. That scream you just heard is maggot Suzuki seeing the cash fly out of his forward looking SCAM.
Looks to me like a Saskatchewan car wash.
Suzukibus Flevit
Got to tell you…last year sucked. Cold, wet summer, long cold winter and looks like a late, wet spring. Snow for tonight. How’s global warming working out for you?
Look at the bright side. It will wash all the salt off the bottom of the vehicle.
What do we win if we guess which pic is from the Brandon Red River?
Perhaps some enterprising person can go to the field that thoses pics from 2006 and take some pics. It would be quite instructive to see the state of affairs there.
Sorry, that should read 2009.
I think we all know what’s going on here. The melting of the Himalayan glaciers is causing this flooding.
bb gun’s right! We all know that Leftie-Greens would never score political points over dead bodies like after Katrina, or monsoons, or huge forest or brush fires, or every twister in the American Midwest, or even after Haiti and Japan by claiming AGW causes earthquakes. Never.
bb, I think that you have to be a little dull to still believe in this SCAM, but if you do, and would like to buy some “Mother Gaia” and earth protector parts and inventions, I have started a booming business selling corks for volcanos, wind stoppers, rain reversers, and earthquake softeners, you could be my first sale. Shipping and batteries not included. Still working on the snow slayer, 3 feet still in my yard Apr. 14, now thats globall warming fer sure.
bb gun, did you pair up yet? http://www.votepair.ca/
I saw an election sign in Canmore for the Green party candidate. His pitch actually stated ‘I don’t want to take your car away.’
I don’t think anyone believes him.
Votepair may be his only hope. C’mon bb, save the greenie.
one of the the pictures in the link mention 24 or 26 new golf carts not being saved in time.
I’m, really trying to not compare to the other stuff I see wasted on reserves to this one.
1. always brand new items
2. always with a native carelessness.
I do hope it was just – run for your lives the water is rising, we never expected it…
Stephen Harper promised climate action. Man that dude is fast, it’s snowing in Burnaby.
That is one good looking crown. Those Sask Highways boys and girls know what they’re doing!
meh it’s probably nothing:

Could this possibly mean the return of the Prairie Water Buffalo and the Prairie Shark?
Oh, great. I have to travel to the SE corner of the province. Bring a life jacket?
We in New Norway, Ab. made it on the news yesterday. On the way home from Camrose, I saw them and other media getting footage of the 2 new lakes next to our golf course. The pics of the guy sea-dooing the fields, were taken half a kilometer from town.
Sorry,
http://www.globaltvedmonton.com/Alberta+flooding/4609698/story.html
those 25 new golf carts had to be abandoned because there was no room on the ark for them
OK. What we are now experiencing is typical prairie spring weather. It’s been like this for as long as I can remember. I always expect a blizzard somewhere around Easter, and there is always flooding somewhere in Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba at this time of year. It is not unusual and is generally cyclical. I’m hoping that this year Beaverhill Lake will fill up again after almost a decade of drying up. In short, we are not experiencing ‘Climate Change’. It’s been pretty much the same as this for the past five or six decades that I can remember. The near desert conditions in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan that were wrongly predicted by those people who know nothing about this country didn’t happen. They were wrong again, as usual. It beats me why anyone pays them any attention at all.
This is the time of year I love, where all that lovely American water flows through our great Prairies and deposits soil all over the flatlands.
And the Yanks never even ask for a “thank you”.
Next time the mean-spirited Greenies bitch about selling our water to the Yanks, just remember they give us all this every Spring!
I used to have a great time snaring jackfish and suckers, 50’s/60’s, in the flooded fields of Manitoba when the creeks over ran.Fun time for kids, maybe not so much for others.
Before I can say anything for or agin this … what do Buttercup Goslings taste like?
Infinity I may be banned for this but I heard they are good on quackers.
In other news, land is CHEAP in Arizona. ~:D
Going to be 90F tomorrow, didja hear? bwaha!!!
Add the three Shoal Lakes north of Winnipeg to that list of disappearing wetlands. They are disappearing so much, that they have now merged into a single large lake which has submerged farmland, roads, and homes. But I’m sure a warmist would say they’ve gone from three to one, so yes they are disappearing.
albertaclipper “The near desert conditions in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan that were wrongly predicted by those people who know nothing about this country didn’t happen.”
I guess you never heard of Pallister’s triangle?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palliser%27s_Triangle
If it weren’t for man made irrigation, it would be nothing but bald arse prairie.
Palliser passed through the area during one of the cyclical dry periods. What would he say if he were there this year?
probably this isn’t the norm.
“The near desert conditions in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan that were wrongly predicted by those people who know nothing about this country didn’t happen.”
The thing is, people all over the world beleive that the climate in Sask and Alberta has already changed to near desert conditions. Unless people in places like yours speak up, the rest of the world will continue to beleive the rediculous predictions. The leftys beleive that once a climate prediction is made, it comes true. There are people from other parts of the world who have been going to the arctic because they beleive it is warm and all thawed out now, they only realize their mistake when they are dying from the cold and need to be airlifted to safety. I notice Peter Mansbridge seldom reports these events. Or should I say Comrade Mansbridge.
Ok, where does a couple of days of flooding indicate this isn’t a desert?
Deserts have floods as well. Flash floods to be exact.
The dust bowl that was a few years back was not a freak accident, nor only lasted for a few days.
Maybe it is a cycle, but I do know water levels have dropped considerably. Now, they are back to the same high as the 80’s.
When they go past those levels and stay there, then I say things have changed from desert to temperate.
Till then, Southern Alberta and Sask are more desert than not.
“The Badlands” are called that for a reason as well.
Yes johnbrooks, the prudent thing to do would be to wait and see what transpires over a reasonable length of time. Perhaps you can convince the climate alarmists to do so.
Palisser declared his ‘triangle’ to be a near-desert in the mid-19th century. It is still a near-desert. Ergo, the climate has not changed, invalidating the greenies theory of climate change. BTW, the ‘Badlands’ are not located in that area. They are further north, in the valley of the Red Deer River. There are even some ‘Badlands’ near Donalda which is the centre of a dry land (non-irrigated) wheat growing area.
