Well, the joke’s on you, Harper. Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
Toronto Star, 2011;
Izzy Hirji was one of several hundred students who gathered outside a Conservative Party campaign event in Guelph to encourage his young peers to get out and vote — for whomever they wanted — in the upcoming election.
The 22-year-old veterinary student at the University of Guelph was then kicked out of the event because he had been part of the peaceful mob, which party officials had apparently viewed as protesters.
That’s the tip of the iceberg. Great digging at The Black Rod.
Update – Izzy Hirji responds in the comments.

I can only imagine the number of threats on a daily basis against Stephen Harper from deranged ecowackos/marxists/Loser Coalition Supporters/anarchists……good thing he has good security to throw TRASH like them out…..
great comment, Kate. and bluetech. you are correct. This guy was no innocent “victim”…but boy aren’t these people ever good at playing one…
Izzy claims that no one knew who he was prior to the incident. It is entirely possible thatthey knew exactly who he was and what he was up to including the “take him down” tone. Izzy is either being naive or dishonest to declare that no one knew who he was.
…
And is he enrolledin ovc or is he in pre-vet. There’s a big difference as less than five percent of prevets actually get accepted.
This is the game du jour, played to distract the public from serious issues such as the Liberals’ proposed Cap and Trade plan…and carbon tax.
There is absolutely no reason to believe that Izzy and his cohorts were left out of the rally if the Prime Ministers people didn’t have some indication that there could be potential problems.
Crowds are welcomed at political rallies. Without them the event would have been a bust. How did all the others get in? If he was just part of the crowd he too would have had no problem entering. Given Izzy’s past it was reasonable to assume there might be trouble. Better to leave him outside the room than having to drag him out with all the attendant media hoopla that action would have garnered. That is obviously an outcome Izzy, at least in his former life, would have loved.
Izzy:
I would like to clarify that I was kicked out of the rally without being identified. Nobody that kicked me out knew my name or had researched me beforehand – it was by facial recognition only and no Facebook probing or anything.
How could you possibly know this, Izzy? Facial recognition is identification, btw.
All the media did in fact, speak the truth.
Given that no one outside of the PM’s security detail can know the truth of your first statement, the second is mere assertion.
jess, dear…you have missed so many points.
This was a post about lazy MSM.
That’s enough for you to handle for now.
If Izzy was face recognized, as he claims, then his face must have been causing angst, somewhere.
At the Toronto G20 riots? U of T riots?
Or maybe, just maybe, some Liberal or Green or NDP, aka anonymous, alerted the RCMP saying Izzy was coming to harm the PM. And then poor little innocent izzy would for sure be prevented from entering and then the ‘aka’s’ could make a media stink. And maybe slick Izzy even got paid.
Izzy is painting himself as a victim. He’s not good at it. At.all.
No Honor left in this Dude. Just a political radical for Power corp.
You want Sharia IZZY? Socialism will never worked & never has. It kills millions than condemns its population to poverty. Spreading the wealth only means more goes to the Political class.
Some of the youth protestors who are so pleased and thrilled with clashes and protesting and destroying property, JUST FOR FUN, deserve consequences. Police in Canada do not deserve to be treated badly and neither do businesses.
Posting the names and faces of irresponsible protestors who are caught on cameras and videos destroying property, on Facebook, for all to see, could help employers and the public service avoid hiring irresponsible destructive applicants.
“facial recognition only” I think our lil Izzy is implying racial profiling…..duh, of course he is….it’s all about Harper’s so-called hidden agenda, right? Man, these people are so predictable. Same goes for the girl in the burqua all over the TV yesterday…gotta admit, these leftist agitators know who to send to get the best traction/sympathy with the MSM.
wondering what’s in store for us tomorrow in the wild wild world of manufactured scandals…
So Izzy, just so we’re clear:
At the exact time the Toronto 18 were plotting to go to Ottawa and kill the Prime Minister, you were “joking” about going to Ottawa to kill the Prime Minister.
What is it about Muslims that that’s their automatic go-to response to frustrations?
You’re another reason we need to halt Muslim immigration to Canada. Congratulations, genius!
I apologize for my comments as a young highschool student filled with angst at our governments actions FIVE YEARS AGO
Welcome to the world of politics Izzy!
Even card-carrying, long-time loyal Tory party members don’t get into any Harper rally without making advance reservations so that the RCMP can background check. One cannot just show up and expect to get in. I am sure it is the same with the other party leaders’ rallies. The media, while doing its tizzy about Izzy and about those two girls who were kicked out of another rally has been careful not to mention that these are standard security precautions.
The thing is we kind of want the MSM to focus on things like this that no one cares about. Do you think any people who vote for us care about this crap? No they don’t. We just have to get our voters to show up and vote on election day that is all. Izzy and his green terrorists and all the other freaks and geeks and inside the queensway losers can blab about their hairdos and diet coke from iggy while we win.
Izzy. Come back and talk to us when you learn to tell the truth.
Izzy is on the Jeff Allan show right now. Jeff says, You wouldn’t take a Pepsi to a Coke rally would you?

I have to take issue with what Kathy Shaidle said though (about Muslim immigration).
Joanne, is that all ya got?
Kathy, I just don’t think that kind of statement is helpful. JMHO.
Notice Liberal Media didn’t report they were part of a flash mob? Notice the Liberal media made no effort to report this persons past history regarding his feelings towards Harper? In fact the media did absolutely no due diligence before they went on a four day anti-Harper bender frankly I’ve had enough of their absolutely unprofessional journalism.
And for the win, Kate with the quote:
“Don’t treat us like we’re stupid. You’re not dealing with journalists here.”
Swish!!!
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that there have been/are threats to the PM that have a bearing on the already tight security around him. These threats will not and can not be reported for obvious reasons. Would be interesting to see the MSM ridicule and scoff at the notion of our PM being worthy of a threat though. Wasn’t it a couple/few years ago that the libs were condemning the size of the PM’s security detail? Now we have playstation generation shi* disturbers crying foul when their quasi-threatening rants come back to bite them? wow.
Dear Izzy,
A rally is really for the party members to motivate them for the election. I understand why you went to the rally because you can not watch conservative platforms on T.V. Here is a link for you.

“Helpful” to whom, in what context?
Methinks Izzy doth protest too much…

Izzy–you appear to have all the classic attributes of the youthful leftist. Good luck in your studies..journalism?”
>YAWN
Izzy believes the Greens and the other left screaming parties will be the ones to facilitate his and his brothers dream of a Green Eco-Mosque in every neighbourhood.
C’mon Joanne (BLY), when did you convert? Do you support Sharia? Do you still have your girly bits? Do you agree with Muslim’s that non-Muslims are less than human and it is a Muslim’s right, no duty, to slay them?
Everywhere in the world that Muslim’s congregate, murder and mahem follow. How is allowing that to happen helpful?
I don’t think it says anywhere in the constitution that I am allowed unfettered access to any candidates rally. It’s not like I am entering a public venue…SUCH AS THE HOUSE OF COMMONS….where, unless I am a radical looking to blowup Toronto and take out the PM, I am welcome to enter. Wait…didn’t Izzy suggest that was exactly what he was contemplating, “take him down”? He should have been kicked from the current event….and then some.
This Izzy clown rambling on about Kyoto. My God, I hope all high school students are not this stupid. Kyoto was brought by the Liberals who did zip on the file. Putting an official end to it was academic. It was dead the minute the Liberals signed it.
The issue here is that Izzy clearly has an agenda and was not just trying to get into the rally because he was seriously contemplating joining the Blue Team.
However making race an issue is neither helpful not relevant.
I don’t think I can make it any clearer than that.
Sure you can, Joanne.
You can “clarify” how Islam is a “race”.
PS Joanne:
“Helpful”??
Not “appropriate”? Isn’t that the progressive schoolmarmish scold-word you were looking for, Little Miss Human Resources Dept?
Please stay on topic. Islam isn’t the topic. Or take it to your own comments section …
Did u c this youtube video clip by the liberal party about stephen harper creeping on a girl’s facebook page.
steven harper the creeper.
you tube search brings it up
‘hey stephen harper stop creeping me on facebook’
Seems Izzy is still trying to keep his story going if you look at his Facebook page. Seems MSM has no interest at all in discrediting these people. Sad really….
jess @ 1:45 AM: One and the same jess who posted this comment on April 3: “You’re the guys trampling over working people in order to suck the *ss of the rich and the multi-corporations!”
You’ve got some ‘splaining to do; you never responded to these facts:
Trudeau was and Martin is big business, both multi-millionaires from businesses run by their families: Trudeau: Imperial Oil, Martin: Canadian Steamship Lines (which flew foreign flags, BTW, so as not to have to pay Canadian taxes).
‘You want to talk about “the rich and the multi-corporations”? Look no further than the Liberal Party of Canada’s connections to the Demarais Family’s Power Corporation and multi-millionaire Mo Strong (Power Corp, Ontario Hydro, Kyoto Accord, Oil for Food at the UN, the Cherry Car in China) and, astonishingly, millionaire Jean Chretien (who woulda thunk that un p’tit gars de Shawinigan would end up in the money — or that his daughter, France, would end up married to Andre Desmarais?)
If you could name a few Conservatives with similar connections, I’d appreciate it.
And, now, you’re trying to defend Izzy and his “right” to attend a CPC rally. Well, smarmy judge and jury, Prime Minister Harper’s security detail also has the right to protect him: Izzy did threaten his life — and the fact that it was a few years ago is no defense.
Veterinary student?
Izzy at oral exam on horses.
Q: Describe a horse.
A: A peculiar and unique animal. It has teeth in the front a mirror in the back.
