Izzy Hirji was one of several hundred students who gathered outside a Conservative Party campaign event in Guelph to encourage his young peers to get out and vote — for whomever they wanted — in the upcoming election.
The 22-year-old veterinary student at the University of Guelph was then kicked out of the event because he had been part of the peaceful mob, which party officials had apparently viewed as protesters.

Forlorn Lorne learned his little lesson, msm will be next. The truth is out there now (thank-you Black Rod) and SDA readers will be laughing out loud at the buffoons on CTV and CBC ‘spinning’ a fairy tale about this young idiot and his ‘exclusion’ from a public meeting. Look what those climate radicals people did in ‘Hope and hog in’? Would anyone in his right mind allow them anywhere near his/her family?

  13. Want to see something really disgusting about how some of these kids think? This video is from the band Rise Against. They are actually headlining Edgefest in Toronto this July btw. It depicts a bunch of college age kids planting backpacks with bombs all over a city and then watching it burn at the end. They comments are really chilling like this one, “the end is the seen i want to see all round the word in every majer city but no one would asist in it” and “What`s the difference between terrorists and revolutionists?”

    The young female NDPer who was on a CTV panel this afternoon, implied that “trolling Facebook” for information on someone who shows up at a political rally is somehow creepy. What naive youngsters there are working on campaigns!

  16. First, I would like to congratulate Kate for publishing the truth. It’s amazing what this young Gal has done for all of us.
    We are at a very serious crossroads in our country. We have our media doing everything they can to influence the result of this election.
    Not just in the Toronto Star and the CBC/CTV
    domain, but in small cities like Kelowna B.C.
    were the Local paper called the “Courier” runs stories that are not factual and there is nothing we can do about it. Write a letter to the editor challenging falsehoods and they don’t print it.
    Machiavelli would be proud of their complicity and deceit
    I weep for the children of Canada when they end up in a poverty driven land like Greece, Italy, Spain, Ireland and probably the USA.
    I’m an old Geezer who has lived through the best of times. If find it a great tragedy that current and new generations will be denied what I have enjoyed.
    To be denied true Liberty in ones life just so some elitist cabal can gain power is disgusting.
    I have been out knocking on doors during this election in order to influence ordinary Canadians to think very hard about what is true or false and what the real stakes are in this election.

    You will be waiting a long time. If it isnt about Harper then they have no interest.
    The only counter to that is that they cannot sustain the negative for much longer unless the polls show deterioration. Even the media know when they have backed the wrong horse.
    The weekend polls will tell….Then the meme will be about setting up the debate narrative….and somehow Iggy, the educated Harvard professor will be portrayed as a bad debater going in.

    This is Izzy, the man in question. I would like to clarify that I was kicked out of the rally without being identified. Nobody that kicked me out knew my name or had researched me beforehand – it was by facial recognition only and no Facebook probing or anything. All the media did in fact, speak the truth.
    I apologize for my comments as a young highschool student filled with angst at our governments actions FIVE YEARS AGO. Clearly a naive adolescent as many are at the time, I have grown and matured much since then and am well on my way to obtaining a professional degree. I hardly think my comments should come back to haunt me – it was a joke after all.
    As well, I am open to all political parties as long as the issues I care about are represented in their platforms. If currently the only platform that does that is the Green Party, then yes I am proud to support them but that in no means should present a threat at a Harper rally. In fact, the Greens support communication and non-partisan open dialogue amongst people from all ends of the political spectrum.
    I am also proud to be able to represent Jane Goodall to youth in Canada, and proud to have delivered the last lecture valedictory speech for my class, which some of you may be mocking, but it was most genuine and a highlight of my life. So please stop harassing me and get on with your lives.

We were interested in seeing and listening to what our prime minister, just like everyone else in the audience – we were merely there as citizens to observe, and engage in the political process. My volunteerism and community engagement does not threaten anyone nor do I believe I help unscrupulous people.
    @Soccermom: Our difference of opinion on economics is irrelevant to this discussion. Everyone has a right to believe in who represents their values. If you and I share different values, the beauty of the political system is that someone with similar values will be there to represent us – I’m all for supporting any candidate who represents you!
    My intention is not to engage in debate so this is my final statement on the manner. Just wanted to clarify what some people are trying to use against me.

    Your “vote mobs” are clearly Green Party organized, and thus the “non-partisan” claim from their organizers is intentionally deceptive.
    You have the good fortune of a supportive media, but that doesn’t excuse your dishonesty.
    When the Prime Minister of Canada is being stalked by individuals who invoke hashtags like “surpriseHarper” and “trackHarper”, it should come as no surprise when you’re asked to leave.
    Non-partisan groups don’t target political parties. Don’t treat us like we’re stupid. You’re not dealing with journalists here.
    That is the beginning and the end of the issue. You are being dishonest. If you wish to be involved politically, then be truthful in what you do.
    I’d suggest you begin by making calls to the reporters who were so willingly deceived and apologize.

    They implied the RCMP were going overboard, when they were just doing their job, and they also implied that this only ‘happens’ at CPC rallies. We now have info that this is a common occurence at ALL rallies. Mention that to the lazy journos when you apologise,’k?
