If a person’s character is indicated by the company he or she keeps,Saskatoon has just elected another Left Wing idiot. Look for her to suggest all kinds of feel good programs for Saskatoon’s drug and crime problems.
She may bring “youthful enthusiasm”, and that and two bucks will buy you a coffee.
Youth is an asset in sport and child bearing. In politics, perhaps not so much.
One can hope she will grow out of her NDP phase, but there’s so many bitter unshakable old Lefties around, this hope may be somewhat forlorn.

Our mayor and city council recently introduced a $3,000,000 program to lend people the 5% down payment on a house. I’m afraid we’ve already got a radically left city government.
Trent yeah they are here. They wanted sidewalks on both sides of a two lane bridge. Blue box re-cycling that is available, for a fee, but few want to pay for it.

The voters in Saskatoon are stupid. How could a left wing loon get elected in an area of the city that houses new upper middle income earners and upper income earners like people who live at the Willows? We in Saskatoon deserve better. I wonder if Marion leans towards the giving head thing?
Saskatoon gives 500,000 to low income housing each year. Saskatoon recently gave a further 2,000,000 million to low income housing. That money came from profits from the saskatoon land bank. Thats right, the city sells you a piece of dirt for 100,000 and the profit from this over priced lot is used for more low income housing. Then the city ups the property taxes and I pay more taxes to support more and more low income housinhg. ROUND AND ROUND.
Big suprize to me that Saskatoon city council is left of North Korea. I fully expect the whole province to be NDP either next election or the one following. Saskatchewan history shows the province will always swing left during good times and the newly elected NDP/CCF centrally planned government will make sure those good times disappear for the next 25 years

Loewen is currently dating a guy who, 5 years ago, was the editor of a student newspaper that published an offensive cartoon. That doesn’t tell you anything about her. It does tell you how far Kate will go to discredit people with whom she disagrees.

As for Loewen … not surprisingly she has come out strongly in favour of mandatory curb-side recycling whereas her two closest opponents were not in total agreement with the idea and for good reason.
Saskatoon is blessed with two or three capable councillors. Thankfully, my ward is represented by one of them. I do not envy their job as it is made doubly difficult by having to deal with a multitude of left-leaning oddballs on council. Just watch a televised council meeting and notice the usual culprits who are enthralled with the TV cameras and the microphone and are prone to deliver lengthy pontifications at every opportunity.
