    Valentines Day is quickly approaching. Most guys don’t manage this day particularly well … you buy a bunch of over-priced stuff for her, and don’t get much of anything of real value in return.
    Don’t despair. A perfect Valentines/”chick flick” movie was created a couple of years ago … Star Trek 2009. Rent it and play it on Sunday night. Even if he gets bored with “to much action, not enough talk” she will have seen the the green inter-galactic slut.
    If you see green on the 14th … enjoy … if not, ditch her.

    I received an email from my ISP – Teksavvy.com … located in Chatham Ontario informing me that the lowering of my download Gb cap on March 1 has been rescinded and my current 200 GB download cap will be INCREASED TO 300GB !!!!!
    A pargraph of the email follows……

    Maybe Mr. Simpson knows something we don’t, when he asserts that the Harper government is “on the wrong side of history.” Maybe he has a crystal ball showing him that this uprising is a victory for the forces of democracy in Egypt.
    Hmmmm … If it turns out that the military brings in another dictator or, worse, if the Muslim Brotherhood uses this opportunity to usher in an Islamist theocracy, will he eat humble pie and swallow his words?

  16. This is what an OCAP protester said to Doug Ford just before OCAP demonstrators shut down a meeting of the budget committee at Toronto City Hall this week:

    As Chris Selley points out, Doug Ford’s response of “Why don’t you get a job, buddy?” was the epitome of restraint. Ford should be applauded not excoriated.

    Security researchers at McAfee have sounded an alarm for what is described as “coordinated covert and targeted cyberattacks” against global oil, energy, and petrochemical companies.
    McAfee said the attacks began November 2009 and combined several techniques — social engineering, spear phishing and vulnerability exploits — to load custom RATs (remote administration tools) on hijacked machines………Targets included global oil, gas, and petrochemical companies, as well as individuals and executives in Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Greece, and the United States.

  24. batb @11:08 – an awful lot of the guys at the “soup kitchen” where I volunteer throw out their meals because they just came for the doughnuts. “Starving” my @ss. ‘Course I guess it’s possible the Maritimes region is way richer than Ontario and we have a better-off class of homeless and semi-homeless or something.
