Ken, I know that your farmer comment was an illustration of a farce, but it triggered a memory. I did a little searching and found this. There’s a link to a paper by economist John Cochrane in which, among other critiques of Paul Krugman, he says this:
“If you believe the Keynesian argument for stimulus, you don’t care how the money is spent. All this puffery about “infrastructure,” monitoring, wise investment, jobs “created” and so on is pointless. Keynes thought the government should pay people to dig ditches and fill them up.”
Now, let’s not forget that Krugman is often cited by Leftists as a GENIUS and BRILLIANT. “After all,” I was was told by one, “he won a Nobel Prize.”
If this wasn’t such a serious topic, affecting all of our livelihoods, the musings of the Leftist Elites would be beyond comical!

The real reason Hu is in Washington is to work out the final deal on an option for China to purchase Hawaii, California, Oregon, and Washington state. Obamugabe wants Democratic voters to be given 10 years to pack up and leave while Hu says no and only ethnic Chinese Americans can stay and apply for Chinese citizenship. Republicans with good business sense would be allowed permanent non citizen residence.

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates visited Beijing last week. At that time, the Chinese military decided to test its new stealth fighter at that time to humiliate the US.
Question: Will Hu Jintao have to sit on his arse in a lonely room while ‘bama has lunch with Michelle and the kids?
