I have seen this before. Call me weird, but I find it hysterically funny.
Great humour tends to come from real life experience. Although I am sure that the actual exchange of emails, as depicted, never happened, I am also sure that similar things occurred in real life.
I had to refrain from liquids while reading this lest I do several spit-takes.
Funny, is my point.
Fine, it’s funny.
But still, it’s not cool to be mean to kitties!
It’s just… not.
Shut up.
I’m with Black Mamba on this, even though I am not particularly fond of cats, I feel sorry for Shannon.
Oh, also, this David guy is a real smart-ass, and no one likes a smart-ass. His sense of humour is just crude, not funny.
i thot it was hilarious…some silly little ditz interrupts a man at his job of work asks for a freebee and takes an attitude…
obviously a freeloading progressive who finds puss lost more important than SALT 3…
i’dve told the snippyhippy that she otta call warren kinsella for advice…he the cat man in Canada…
Please Kate, not you too. Too? Get it?
Yes, a fantastic site, but not updated nearly often enough. I discovered it while searching http://www.boredatwork.com.
Also worth checking out is lamebook.com
cats is as cats do…pop told me that…
Having read about 95% of David’s work, I have yet to read anything that did not meet my minimal standards for “funny”.
Simon’s Pie Charts, “Adelaide”, and cats, especially.

I found it after watching Terry Gilliam’s brilliant film Brazil again a couple of weeks ago. Just the look on Bob Hoskins’ face when he’s asked to produce a “27b-stroke-6” had me in giggles, so I decided to google it. Apparently, David wanted to call his site that, but wasn’t allowed to, so he chose 27bslash6 instead.
I find him very funny. Does that mean I’m somewhat warped? Probably. But those of you who think he’s cruel to cats (hmm.. is there a song title there?) are missing the point. If they’d bother to check out the rest of his oeuvre, they’d find he has an ongoing depreciation of Shannon’s work, which he variously apportions as “looking out the window time”, “snacking time”, etc. It’s not so much the cat he’s ticked off at as Shannon.
I’m not going to squander my lookin’ out the window time checkin out some cat loather’s oeuvre; Shannon should spend some time makin’ her own copies, as I am prone to do, for hours.
Oldish but still laugh out loud funny.
My favorite is his one where he encloses “a drawing of a frog valued at $3.49” for payment of a bill and adds, “I trust this settles the matter…”

smalldeadanimals.com is a dump for last week’s news from Drudge and last year’s jokes from 27b/6. Way to go!
