The Columbine shooters… The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing… The DC sniper… The New York City Times Square car bomb attempt… The February 2010 IRS plane attack in San Antonio… The Pentagon subway shooter… The Fort Hood attack… The Discovery Channel hostage taker…Amy Bishop who shot her colleagues at that Alabama college.
The list goes on and on and on. They are countless. The list actually is never ending of incidents like this where the media is damn certain, damn well certain they can give Obama his OKC bombing. They can give a Democrat president some kind of massive murder or disaster caused by conservatives. That remains the number one effort. They sit around and they wait for these events to happen, hoping and praying that what they know are lies — what they know are false allegations, nonexistent associations — can somehow be made to be believed by the public at large.

That’s what worries me about the reporting on this latest incident — it was too smooth, almost to the point of being orchestrated.
When was the last time we saw the MSM react so quickly and “spontaneously” when reporting on such an incident, to the degree that they could immediately assign blame to a political group? Seamlessly. Without missing a beat. Without any evidence.
Usually there’s analysis first — even if the MSM wants to slant things they wait for at least one solid solid to build that “rickety house” on. This time there was no waiting: The jury was in before the jury was even out!
I hate conspiracy theories, and I’ve always avoided them like the plague. But when you have multi-billionaires like George Soros who are actively supporting the squelching of conservative free speech, it’s not hard to imagine that a couple of well-placed bribes to the right people could easily get a local cop and a few influential journalists to suddenly have “memory lapses” about their professional duties to guard truth and objectivity.
In fact, a guy with Soro’s kind of money could probably finance the assassination of just about any politician in the world, and it’s coverup and misplaced blame, and probably get away with it…

What I love is how reporters and anchors will use the terms “disgusting” and despicable” in reference to the Phelps-led protests (and he is both to avoid confusion) but people like Anderson Cooper will sit in abject silence as Bill Maher spews the most vitriolic rhetoric (ironically, starting off the interview with both Maher and Cooper enforcing that the political discourse needs to be toned down), including saying there’s no difference between Glen Beck and a madman who blew away a 9-year-old girl.
One elicits “disgusting”; the other “Thanks for joining us tonight.”
Ricardo, I don’t think your suspicion is too far fetched at all. I had the same impression. While I don’t for a minute believe they orchestrated this or any other particular event, I do believe they have a fill-in-the-blank scripted narrative just waiting for things like this. They probably even have the graphics and montages already done and in the can.
It’s just like these 2,000 page bills they introduce in seemingly record time. That’s because those bills have been sitting in a file cabinet for years, written by some special interest lobbyists, just waiting to see the light of day.

I never read anywhere linking Time Square and Fort Hood to conservatives. The plane crasher and McViegh were clearly anti-government nuts and Limbaugh is dissembling to associate them these other acts.
Still if you have to erase things from your website after a tragedy maybe they were in poor taste to begin with?
One of the stunts I see here all the time is to take the opinions and voices of the fringe of the left and ascribe them to the mainstream. Then spark up the outrage The same is true in the other direction.

After the Times Square incident, Mayor Bloomberg, a Democrat, did jump to conclusions. While altogether ignoring the possibility of Islam having anything to do with a crime committed by a Pakistani-American with the name, Faisal Shahzad, Bloomberg said, “Homegrown [suspect], maybe a mentally deranged person or someone with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything.” (“Anything?” What on earth is Bloomberg talking about?)

As Chris Rock has stated “they are always trying to blame things on the media, on peers, on outside pressure. Whatever happened to crazy? Can’t someone just be crazy anymore?”
What really inflamed this whole situation, was Dupnik standing up, within hours of the event. proselytizing his political spin, without any regard whatsoever, to fact finding, evidence searching, or, most of all, non-disclosure of any reason why this happened.
It was a despicable display of partisan politics, taking advantage of a terrible tragedy, before the bodies were cold. He takes a huge share of the responsibility for this brouhaha. He was first!
Unfortunately, I believe even if he hadn’t said a word, some other talking head from the left would have had the same kneejerk reaction to the event. But they may not have had the national stage, quite the way Dupnik did. And he abused his office for his ill-timed electioneering
