The list goes on and on and on. They are countless. The list actually is never ending of incidents like this where the media is damn certain, damn well certain they can give Obama his OKC bombing. They can give a Democrat president some kind of massive murder or disaster caused by conservatives. That remains the number one effort. They sit around and they wait for these events to happen, hoping and praying that what they know are lies — what they know are false allegations, nonexistent associations — can somehow be made to be believed by the public at large.

They’ve been making hay on this method for a very long time now. But the ground we are fighting on has changed. Now fact checking of public statements happens in seconds, not weeks. The liberal MSM does not control the news cycle, to the extent that some girl classmate of the shooter blows their whole propaganda campaign out of the water with a single twitter post.
The Dem response is to scream louder, and I’m finding it -very- amusing to watch these trying to defend such a lunatic premise. This is the hill they picked to die on, and they are -dying- on it.

Loughner’s cranium is a big junction box in which a marrette has worked itself loose and two wires have become separated. Anyone proposing a connection between his actions and Sarah Palin or talk radio is either remarkably stupid or downright evil or a combination of the two.
If Loughner was to admit that he was motivated by right-wing rhetoric, the left and the media would be quick to say “I told you so.” Conversely, if Loughner was found to be a rabid left-winger angered by Giffords’ moderate politics, the left and the media would simply dismiss him as a nut.
Are people from the right side of the political spectrum angry as they watch the USA spiral down the toilet? Damned right they are and justifiably so. However, anger does not automatically equate with hatred. The far left and the media cannot or will not make this distinction and any voice of dissent is labelled hatred.
Like I said, I am not up to speed on the jokes, but is this guy Uncle Fester’s mini me, or what? I wonder if he can light a light bulb in his mouth? Difference is that Uncle Fester was using all of his skills as an actor to *appear* crazy.

Furthermore to my comment above regarding the MSM being in ‘full retreat’ mode, I’d like to suggest that the entire gambit is deliberate. It’s my view that the Left engages in a ‘stick and move’ type of strategy. What I’m saying is that the Left expects to retreat, it’s part of the plan. They inflict as much damage as they can to the Right, which is to say they throw the base a bone. Once the diva’s on the Left are satisfied, they then retreat and wait for the next opportunity to strike. This is a very good strategy because they’ve convinced most people that (as I said above) ‘everyone does it’. So there you have it, the tactic isn’t to improve what they (the MSM) are doing, but instead to demonstrate how the other guys are no better. And it works like a charm!JMO
Nothing new here. As soon as the news breaks, the usual suspects paint the criminal as a right-wing nutjob. If it turns out later that it isn’t going to work (the Discovery Channel guy, for instance) the story is quietly dropped. They’re just throwing feces on the wall hoping some will stick.

That is the key question. A question for the ages. The main conversation going on in my poor tired head at the moment is: “are they completely lacking in lack self-awareness or … ? “. I have a couple of liberal friends who, with apparent sincerity, believe and tell me that hate language is the exclusive domain of conservatives.
ET asks if they’re “brain dead”. Definitely NOT! It’s not a brain thing at all, only raw EMOTION. No one can claim that Krugman is “brain dead”. Emotionally unstable, or undeveloped maybe! Look at his face: that’s a little boy!
My tentative conclusion is that for neo-marxists ANY means are acceptable as long as they advance the cause of extreme, radical egalitarianism (managed of course by State aparatchiks!) which objective is simply not debatable. Any means, including the politics of personal destruction through lies, is acceptable. Apparently, they just don’t HEAR their well-documented, well-archived elocutions as HATE.
Sadly, Malkin’s long list (which I haven’t bothered reviewing) will have no effect on the tiny number of extreme leftists who see that. Sorry to keep saying this but I leaned my lesson on this a few years back when I sent one of those liberal friends — who believed that Bush lied about WMD — 35 quotations, date-stamped, from from A-list Dems (including both Clintons) expressing profound concern about Saddam’s WMD. I thought, “well, that issue, at least, will be settled”. Nope. You see you can’t argue someone out of an emotion.
There’s one event that often gets overlooked, another example of the media tripping over themselves to pin it on “the Right”, and that event was when that guy stabbed a Muslim cab driver in NYC during the furor over the Ground Zero mosque proposal. He was a moonbat who did it specifically so that conservatives would be blamed for it. And the media were more than happy to hit the ground running with that narrative until, once again, the facts got in the way.
I purposefully stayed up last night to watch the CBC slant on this after the pre-requisite 24 hour cooling off period where saner heads should have prevailed and I could not believe the bone-chilling, brain-dead presentation of Neil Macdonald. The CBC indeed jumped the shark many years ago but to be the National newscaster for this country only proves how deep a hole we have allowed these liberal progressives to dig for us. Hopefully someone with more technical ability than I can utube the broadcast and it can be used by the Harper government to cease CBC funding. FIRE. THEM. ALL.

Interesting. The left’s first instinct is to silence dissent or debate. They must realize that when dissent has no open voice or political channel to air grievance that leaves only revolt as a vehicle for change.
Personally I believe the dogmatic left has been pushing the culture war towards open civil conflict for the past 2 decades. They’re trying desperately to grab the guns before they use the sledge hammer of state to plunge us all into authoritarian statism.
