What Happens in Mexico …

… should stay in Mexico:

Climate policy has almost nothing to do anymore with environmental protection, says the German economist and IPCC official Ottmar Edenhofer. The next world climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which the distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.

  1. These guys won’t quit until there is a forcefull backlash- even then it may be too late. Our Collages and Unies and MSM continue to indoctrinate the non thinking among us.

  2. I’ll bet the average Greenie ‘footsoldier/water carrier’ doesn’t know that all those resources that he doesn’t want harvested at all are going to be negotiated for distribution.
It’s funny if you ignore the totalitarian One World Government aspect of it all.

  3. We need a global conservative pushback on this agenda.
There are very few active politicians really lifting their weight on opposition to this crazy misguided agenda. Some may be privately opposed and stalling. Others aren’t even trying. The conservative part of public opinion is fairly flabby on this too, but I would guess it’s more opposed than the political representation would have one believe.
What’s missing perhaps is a simple name or concept for opposition. It goes deeper than just skepticism on the science of AGW. I would call it perhaps “realistic economic survival” or something snappier that means the same thing.
Anti-globalism would be technically correct but sounds rather quixotic, like being against the planet or something.
    Maybe just common sense?

  4. “Climate policy has almost nothing to do anymore with environmental protection”
Some would say it never did. But I have never heard anyone be so outspoken about it before.

  5. Edenhofer completely parrots the AGW /Climate Change line that it’s man-made!
    Allah Almighty!
If he’s typical of the people who are going to represent us in Mexico at the next earth-shakingly important climate conference,we’re in a lot of trouble.
I believe the “elephant in the room”,(the expression that’s become trendy these days),is that world leaders don’t want Africa to prosper.
It’d result in more Africans, dontcha know!

  6. Let’s just ignore the fact that African and Asian countries account for more than their share of mouth breathers. Clearly the Africans and Asians have a historic responsibility to this hmmm? Cap’N’Babe anyone?
Seriously though, few things irritate me more than western governments and their apathy towards this Global Welfare State. Who exactly has given our leaders the mandate to get F’d in the A by these historical losers?

  7. Fear not this ambitious desire to redistribute, to facilitate a NWO UN global government is not what India/China have in mind.
They are laughing at it and unless it means they will disproportionally benefit….they are not interested. Remember they hold vast amounts of US debt and are not about to toss that on a bonfire.

  8. I believe the “elephant in the room”,(the expression that’s become trendy these days)
I prefer the phrase “fart in the elevator” because most people have experienced that more often than an elephant in the room.
Africa is just a handy guilt stick to beat successful white civilization with because white folks feel they are somehow responsible for the retarded state of black people in Africa.
We don’t live in a Global Village, but if more people don’t wake up we’ll be living on a Prison Planet if the Elites let us live at all.

  9. There is little pushback from politicians in part
because they see it as an easy way to raise taxes.
After all, instead of sending billions to Africa,
why not piss them away at home?

  10. I saw this coming several years ago. When proposed “solutions” that were linked to the assumed climate problems made absolutely no logical sense (carbon credits etc.) one had to postulate that there were other reasons for such a concentrated effort.
What is not being discussed is that, if this plan is ever achieved, it will mean that countries like Canada must commit a version of economic suicide in order to support countries that do not have the resources to sustain their people (or keep the tyrants in the state they wish to be kept). Either we do this, or our country will be overrun by economic refugees of the most dubious provenance. I don’t have a good feeling about the future when I read stuff like this.

  11. After all, instead of sending billions to Africa,
why not piss them away at home?

    ~John Lewis
Foreign aid is a legal method of vote buying.
See Haiti for a clear example and remember, since Haitians speak French the votes that are bought are purchased in Quebec where most of the Haitian immigrants in Canada live.
How many people know that our government was spending $500 Million in Haiti before the earthquake?

  12. Once these toads get to Cancun, perhaps we could close the airport and port and fence the whole damned place in and decorate with PLAGUE signs.

  13. Just as Canadians must carry their Indians, (Quebeccers too) the world must carry it’s Negroes. And don’t forget the Muslims are proving to be just as disgustingly adept at being a basket-case society and the other two.
I don’t understand what is broken in the DNA strands of those particular groups that prevents them from getting up their hind legs and showing a bit of class by taking care of themselves for once.
Moreover, what is missing in the DNA strands of Liberals who think that carrying those fast breeding and absolutely useless groups is even possible over the long term, or even the short term as things are right now.
To expect the dwindling number productive people to take more and more of this political correct horse shit for much longer is another flaw in the equation.
Most of us have had it already.
Those groups mentioned have little to do with any economy other than black market venues. That is where the rest of us will have to go to avoid being raped by our betters to redistribute our hard earned money to our obvious inferiors.
Sound racist? I know, I know, but it’s not about the skin color or the race, it’s about the pointlessness and worthlessness of their existence. They love to use their race as an excuse to plead weakness and inability.
Ironically white society is now spending it’s time apologizing for being too successful, too competent and too productive. I guess we are ripe for the picking eh folks.
I am angry, but then you probably already figured that one out.

  14. If only Tony Merchant would do something legit in his quest for Guiness lawsuit status, and take on a class action lawsuit against all the slimes who have perpetrated this SCAM on the world. Imagine seeing the slimes Maurice Strong, David Suzuki, Al Gore, and the cast of willing accomplices Mann, Briffa Prentice Obongo etal all in a Nuremberg like courtroom answering for their crime of extorting trillions of dollars from world governments, money that could have maybe cured cancer, stopped hunger and homelessness etc. Hopefully I will own the television rights, Ill sell them to Fox since it has been the only network to have the decency to air anything about the SCAM artists SCAMming ways.

  15. Too bad the world’s wealth has already been eradicated. How do you redistribute trillions in debt?

  16. At least they aren’t hiding their socialists’ facists wealth redistribution agenda, they can pry my wealth out of my cold dead hands I’m sick of this global governance nonsense. You’d think Germany would of learned her lesson via Hitler.

  17. Hmmmmmm so who said the whole AGW thingy was just a socialist scam to redistribute wealth ?
    WE DID !!

  18. “the distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated”
Ah, I see where Ottmar has gone wrong. Resources don’t belong to the world; they belong to the jurisdiction where they are located.
If that jurisdiction wants to sell them, fine and if they don’t, that’s fine too.

  19. Any excuses for resource re-distribution will do, be it climate change and/or the soon to be bankrupt world economy. Communal living on a world scale is the utopian dream of the elites for us peasants.

  20. “By Greg Weston, CBC News”
    Weston is right on.
    >>> The dead climate bill was Liberal Citoyen Kyoto Dionky’s Green Shaft in disguise and More.
Now the truth is out thanks to Greg Weston. Now we know why the monster was killed dead.
Now we know why Taliban Jack LaytoNDP was hysterical. His head exploded again.
PM Harper/Minister Baird/Conservative senators have triumphed.
    Canada is the winner.
    Read it here:
“The inconvenient truth about the climate change bill”
“Lost in the current political flap over Conservative senators killing a climate change bill approved by the House of Commons is an inconvenient truth about the now-defunct legislation.
The bill was demanding what no government could reasonably deliver.
The so-called Climate Change Accountability Act, originally proposed by the New Democrats in 2006, would have committed the federal government to cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 40 per cent over the next 10 years.
On Tuesday, the Conservatives managed to pull off a surprise vote in the Senate that killed the bill on the spot.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper defended the move, saying the legislation was setting “irresponsible targets” that would entail “shutting down sections of the Canadian economy and throwing hundreds of thousands, and possibly millions, of people out of work.”
Prime Minister Stephen Harper responds to a question in the Commons in Wednesday about the rejected climate change bill. Prime Minister Stephen Harper responds to a question in the Commons in Wednesday about the rejected climate change bill. (Adrian Wyld/Canadian Press)
What exactly would cutting emissions by 40 per cent entail?
The latest figures from Environment Canada show the government could send the country back to using the horse and buggy and still not satisfy the greenhouse gas reduction targets in the climate change bill axed by the Senate.
In fact, eliminating all the cars, trucks, bulldozers, railways and airlines in the country wouldn’t get even halfway to meeting the requirements in the bill — namely, cutting annual greenhouse emissions by about 290 million tonnes by 2020.
Similarly, turning off the heat in every home and commercial building in Canada would reduce annual emissions by less than 80 million tonnes.
The largest industrial source of greenhouse gas emissions in the country is the network of electrical power-generating stations fuelled by gas, oil and coal.
Shutting them down would plunge much of the country into darkness. But it still wouldn’t cut emissions by more than about 40 per cent of the annual targets demanded in the bill killed by the Senate.
The bottom line is that unless Canadians would settle for freezing in the dark, no government of any political stripe was going to come close to meeting the emission-reduction targets in the proposed legislation.
While the Conservatives using the Senate to kill the greenhouse gas legislation is drawing howls of political protest from the opposition benches, the environment will be no worse off as a result.”

  21. Strange, I don’t remember voting to give the UN or IPCC a mandate to redistribute our natural resources or to prevent the mining of our fossil fuels. The globalization groupies must realize that politicians have to go back to national voters every 4 years or so. I just don’t see how agreeing to shut down the engine of our prosperity and shipping money to 3rd world dictators via UN agencies will be a vote winner for Canadian politicians.

  22. “United Nations University.”?
We all know where Diversity is.
But, “United Nations University”? UNaBomber Mao Stlong is Chancellor (says Mo’s nephew, Canadian Liberal leader Bob Rae).
Is it an annex at Liberal Iggy’O’s Harvard?
Is it a college at U of W? Rock’s UO?
    Meet Koko. Koko knows.
    …-
“Should UN Employees Be IPCC Lead Authors?”
“Koko Warner is an American citizen who was selected to be a lead author of the next edition of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. For these purposes, it has been decided that she officially represents the country of Germany. [see p. 8 of this 27-page PDF]
Warner is one of at least four people assigned to work on the new IPCC report who is employed by an entity called the United Nations University. First and foremost, this institution exists to further “the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations.”
I can’t be the only one who finds this troubling. Scholarship is one thing. Scholarship sponsored and supervised by bureaucrats perched atop the world’s political org chart is surely another. Why does the United Nations feel the need to cultivate its own army of scholars? Of all the things in this messed up world on which the UN could be spending its money how can this be a priority?
Is it not also awkward that the IPCC – itself a UN body – thinks UN employees are the sort of experts who should be writing what is supposed to be a dispassionate climate change report? Is there no concern that the UN appears to be influencing the outcome? After all, in one chapter of the upcoming climate bible (Working Group 2′s Chapter 24) two of the 11 people responsible for writing it are affiliated with this university.
Warner herself will contribute to a chapter titled Climate-resilient pathways: adaptation, mitigation, and sustainable development – which will be produced by eight authors backed up by three review editors. As one of those eight authors, her judgment will inform this chapter’s findings.
So what do we know about her?”

  23. Because none of this appears in the MSM, it’s up to each of us to diseminate it as widely as possible.
At the risk of alienating friends and relatives (some of whom likely prefer to receive jokes and pablum-like feel good messages) I’ve shared this IPCC affiliated website with everyone in my address book.
Then I sent it to PM Harper’s office for good measure.

  25. This is a socialists dream. The redistribution of wealth was the goal all along. But their dream is dying. Carbon Credits are no longer being traded in Chicago at the CCX so I do not know how this distribution is going to occur with out the mechanisms present to distribute. The lefty’s have been outed. Global Warming as a catch phrase will die the the richly deserved death it deserves
