  1. There used to be good country south of us.
The land of the free and the home of the brave.
What happened, where did it go?

  2. If America was a serious country, AliBama would never have been elected. If it were now a serious country, AliBama and Holder would be dragged from office and clamped in irons. There is no hope.

  3. I pity the USA…but hey you get what you vote for so grin and bear it. I can’t believe that the majority of Americans voted for this idiot…couldn’t they see through it….it isn’t like Obama hid his beliefs….it was out there for anyone to see. I really believe that the USA is at a crossroads in it’s history and they had better confront the enemy or enemies and they are:
Liberals/lefties, commies/statist, so called elite like university professors, the media, unions, etc….bascially the people who have no real jobs and live on the people who do….I think someone once referred to them as cannibals.
All of the above groups I mentioned will never stand up for the USA in word or deed because they are all cowards.

  4. Miss W? What did he do to secure the border? Here is W…..”Islam is awesome and Muslims are real straight shooters”……You miss that?

  5. It was great to hear nothing about the longest border – Canada. Also it was good to see the Canadian flag flying in the background once in a while.
Seriously though, their government should be supporting Arizona. It is not just them; it is all the Mexico Border States that are facing the same problem.

  6. Yes, W was a disgrace with respect to the Mexican boarder.
The U.S. should send a bill to those 11 mostly failed countries for taking in their citizens and looking after them.

  7. Nothing like ganging up and beating some-one when they’re down. Maybe this will drive the message home to the Americans that voted for the “0”. Maybe it’s long past time when the countries that extended foreign aid and accepted immigrants and refugees should now close ranks and borders and begin to look after themselves before it is too late.

  8. That’s what happens when you abandon your own principles. America used to maintain an attitude of complete disinterest in what was going on outside its own borders. Then they began to think that they somehow had the right to meddle. Now others are copying them. As distasteful as the specter of foreign governments getting involved in what legislation a sovereign nation is able to adopt, I can’t help say that it serves them right.
Marc Emery may be a poor example (and I’m sure there are others who might be more suitable), but as far as I am concerned, the principle ought to be if I don’t set foot in your territory, you don’t have the right to presume to impose your interpretation of law on me. If you violate that principle, don’t come crying to me when somebody else does it to you. When you meddle outside your borders, don’t cry foul when those outside them begin to meddle with what takes place within them.

  9. I don’t remember Dubya saying “Islam is awesome and Muslims are real straight shooters” but that’s word for word in a comment Blackbird made in 2009.
I do remember that Dubya said this in Aug/06: “This nation is at war with Islamic fascists, who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation.” Somehow he doesn’t sound like the creeping sharia type to me. I very much doubt you could pay him enough now to say “Islam is awesome”.

  10. Hey mouth (how appropriate) I suspect those “bottle blondes” are almost certainly more successful and educated than you are. But your attempt at belittling them because of their looks shows you to be just another misogynistic bigot.

  11. No-one believes Obama’s “waging war against the American people”.
I do, bleety. I realized in my early teens that, if the left did have another purpose once, it’s only agenda anymore is anti-Americanism. Obama is a quasi-Marxist of a type very common in the academy. He loathes America and sides with her enemies.

  12. If Obama’s so bad why was W the most hated President in history? Obama’s got along way to go before he hits the lows W hit poll-wise. Looks like Americans thought W was waging war against them!
    Oopsie!
By 47 to 45 percent, Americans say Obama is a better president than George W. Bush. But that two point margin is down from a 23 point advantage one year ago.
“Democrats may want to think twice about bringing up former President George W. Bush’s name while campaigning this year,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.
This has to be one of the most extraordinary political comebacks in decades. And as this week’s Washington Post/ABC News poll showed, nearly 25 percent of Democrats now believe “a return to Bush’s policies would be good,” a staggeringly high figure.

  13. It’s too bad the book didn’t find it’s target, might have knocked a clue or two into the worst president in USA’s history.

  14. I think this is a turning point. Americans have put up with a lot of BS over the years mostly dealing with self given rights.
To me this crosses the line. When the hoopla from the first draft hit all of a sudden Arizona grew horns and ate babies. Twenty two other states enacted their own laws.
The appeal by the Feds was bad taste but the constant vilification of the state should include foreign countries is scary. Who the eff voted for international law applying to a state in the USA?
Add to that Holder, the most incompetant AG I can recall not enforcing voter motor law, military ballots or voting rights and this government needs not only to be spanked but catch one by a 2xclue to get their attention first.

  15. “No-one believes Obama’s “waging war against the American people”.”
Well if you mean by American people a free people acting in enlightened self interest for the betterment of self and mankind then I believe Oblamebush and his puppet masters behind the teleprompters are waging war against the American people.

  16. mouth: “If Obama’s so bad why was W the most hated President in history?”
Hey, mouth, the fat lady hasn’t even started singing yet. The count’s not in. The round’s not over, and look at Obambam’s plummeting popularity. It hasn’t hit the basement yet, but it looks like it’s going to pretty soon. Then you can ask, who’s the most hated president in history, though I doubt that you will. You’ll be leaving the room, closing the door softly behind you.
Methinks that hindsight will show that George W. Bush was a much better POTUS than Barry Soetoro.

  17. This is an american and an arizonan issue the rest of these countries can get stuffed and who the hell are these people until these countries are perfect and i mean perfect and have a prooven human right’s track record SHUT YOUR MOUTH and i livei n canada it is none of my buisness period i can have my opinions but they should not effect anything in american this way or that we all have an opinion but really it is none of our buisness to say this or that . stay out of it and SHUT YOUR FAT MOUTH’S

  18. The British article on Bush’s resurgence, noted :
“A lot of Americans frankly miss the down-to-earth and significantly warmer leadership style promoted by President Bush, as well as his unfailing sense of optimism and heart-felt pride in America on the world stage. You certainly won’t ever find Bush apologising for his country or extending the hand of friendship to her enemies.”
And he sure as f$ck didN’t BOW DOWN TO ANYBODY…….

Let’s just say I’m paraphrasing lines from the tome of praise he heaped on Islam to shield his family Saudi friends for eight years.

  20. You can bet Obama had something to do with this legal man overs. He excels at being a lawyer. Its the Chicago way.

  21. bleety said “No-one believes Obama’s “waging war against the American people”.
Ok, nobody at the Yorkville Second Cup maybe, but you’ll get a different opinion from people who actually -live- in America.
Currently bleety baby, volunteers are running around the desert south of Phoenix shooting at heavilly armed Mexican drug smugglers. Doing the job the US Border Patrol is supposed to be doing but were ordered not to.
This is not the kind of thing one expects to see in a Western democracy, eh?
Still, the Canadian court system seems happy to base decisions on foreign statutes that they pull out of their @sses when it suits them. Human rights tribunals for example are really big on it.
    What could possibly go wrong?

  22. Blackbird: “Let’s just say I’m paraphrasing lines from the tome of praise he heaped on Islam…”
Paraphrasing without referring to specific sources for your interpretation is dangerous and potentially misleading (intentional or not). I’m not saying by the way that Dubya doesn’t have Saudi Royal Family sympathies (as every POTUS did post 1960) but I seriously doubt he’ll lie down prostate on a rug facing Mecca and pontificate over the joys of Islam every time a microphone was thrust into his mug.
I wouldn’t call a few early post-911 olive branch statements to Islam mainstreamers (the ones I’m aware of) as a “tome”. Perhaps you have a few examples to point out?

  23. Many Leftist Elites frequently said that Obama was “above” the presidency of the United States. He’s now paving the way to be President of the World.
The fact that few to no Democrats are speaking out against this atrocity speaks volumes.

  24. Mouth – popes condemn all military action and killing of any humans, that is not to say there is not justifiable war. We’re the muslims at the gates of Rome, they would be saying otherwise. When the Muslims were at the gates of Vienna, it is said there wasn’t a Protestant anywhere, they were all Catholic soldiers.

  25. Wow, the echo chamber sure is ringing loudly on this one.
I think that the discussion would be better if it were more balanced. However, balance does not seem to be in the cards.
    Sad…

  26. Remember November my American cousins…
@The Wet One: Please let us know what the balance should be. You forgot that part of your comment.
