  2. This is a cross post from the Reader Tips today: I believe it has everything to do with the shockingly poor judgement of the 10:10 idiots.

Gag.
    I have news for these idiots: our society and our schools had the ORIGINAL, deeply rooted and revered “Me to We” for centuries: the first two commandments of the Decalogue, shared by both Jews and Christians.
    Jesus said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. The second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Without the first commandment, the fruits of which, if followed, are a chastened heart, with a deep well for mercy, generosity, and forgiveness (always imperfectly realized because of our feet of clay), the second one will be built on sand.
    Since Trudeau’s dangerous Charter, on which our kids have been fed their “rights”—minus corresponding responsibilities—for nearly three decades, by the brain dead lefties who run our educational establishments, putting oneself and one’s appetites first—not a concept I grew up with—is the order of the day. Now, the cretins, who nurtured this idiocy, are trying to graft onto the dying tree the new, green leaves of “Love thy neighbour”. It ain’t gonna happen because the tree’s planted on the barren sand of secularism, which hates and ridicules the very Source of open, generous hearts of service . . . [I’ve deleted the Parable of the Sower.]
    As for the Word of God—and “Me to We” is a kind of summary, well meaning, no doubt (“The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”)—the powers that be have so denuded the soil of any nutrients that, even if our kids hear the message, it’s not likely to sink in very far. C.S. Lewis addressed this same repudiation of our spiritual heritage in “The Abolition of Man”: “We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” [End Quote]
    Considering what our kids are not being taught, the brain dead and ethically decrepit 10:10 video is a glimpse into what’s probably going to be a pretty hideous future. Too many of our “citizens” have no sense of propriety at all.
    I was gobsmacked that AGW adherents would have made such a video. After finally seeing it, I wrote at SDA, “Actually, I think the people who come off really badly here are the eco-fascists. If they think such a video’s going to inspire folks to be ‘greener’, they’re as stupid as they are fanatic.”
    For only the second time in nearly 40 years of marriage, my husband and I recently went on a little trip with a huge carbon footprint. Yeah! (Though the AGW hypocrites would use as much energy in a fraction of a day than we did in five. What despicable phonies they are.)

  6. This is really made by the environmentalists? They really think this is an okay way to present your message? “No pressure”? Seriously? What a pile of freaking morons! The message is clearly “believe or die”. If this was on Saturday Night Live, it would actually be funny as very broad, over-the-top satire, but coming as a real promo for their cause, it’s absolutely moronic.

    (Prince Philip, who is a co-founder of the World Wildlife Federation, with Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, recently told an interviewer that he hopes to be “reincarnated as a deadly virus” to help solve the “population problem”. No wonder Prince Charles is such a loon. And I’m a lifelong monarchist—as long as the Queen’s alive, perhaps).

A rational human being would laugh at such contempt for thinking children but the sociopathic spawn of pseudo-environmental group think “educational” institutions either have an inverted sense of humour (more likely none at all) or are seriously calling for violence against anyone out of lock-step with their faith-based fascist narratives. As someone alluded to earlier, if those explosions were burqa clad Muslims instead of “deniers”, the movie producers would be in a British prison on Hate crimes charges. However, I defend their free speech rights and actually like that the Enviro-Nazis are exposing themselves as such.

    i have no problem with their “eco” actions freely expressed. it is revealing more than anything else.
    my caution is borrowed directly from mr. mark steyn when he recently accepted the Free Press Society’s 2010 Sappho Award in denmark and he said …”they will have to kill us all.”

    Chang had four students working seven days a week as her personal valets, one was forced to drive her son to the airport at 3 a.m. Others shoveled snow, took out the garbage and shuttled her to her hair salon, according to court papers.
