  1. Amazing. We don’t have to play a what-if game had those arrested been members of the GOP. We all damn well know the article would play up the party affiliation angle to the nth degree.
It really amazes me that the editors in charge of these news organizations cannot look past their liberal bias, and simply present news — the facts. Presenting facts as news shouldn’t be a left-right issue.
The fact all those arrested are of Democrat affiliation is a salient fact in the story. Omitting it is moving from reporting the news, to shaping it (i.e. propaganda). But, none of us are surprised by this anymore, are we? Not waiting for the asteroid, indeed. They are doing anything and everything possible to speed their journey to irrelevancy, if they haven’t already arrived.

  2. Long live the new media which SDA is part of in exposing yet more evidence of the almost monopolised left wing bias of the MSM. TV wise, if it was’nt for FOX the left would have total control.
The beauty still is the fact that FOX beats all their news ratings. Combined!

  3. Big 3 Nets’ Evening News Audience Fails to Break 20 Million in Mid-September.
TBlumer delivers his usual excellent analysis of the numbers.
    They’re out of excuses.
…last week was a pivotal week in Campaign 2010, with key primaries in New York, Delaware, New Hampshire, and several other states. As far as I know, Brian Williams, Diane Sawyer, and Katie Couric were firmly ensconced in their anchor chairs all week long.
With all that, the Big 3 Nets’ audience for the weeks was less than 20 million, almost 5% lower than the same week a year ago, when there were no key election races. The Big 3 are not recovering from what was an awful summer.
If they expected their all-O’Donnell-bashing all-the-time strategy to translate into additional evening news viewers, early returns would seem to indicate that it’s not working out too well

  4. The MSM can’t be xpected to testify against their political wife, the Democrats.
That would be too fair, too balanced, too unfraid.

  5. No different here in Canada, because Obongo was doing “stimulus”, the great Iggster and E-Jack demanded stimulus here in Canada. Harper had to do stimulus being a minority, now the stinking press and the two Toronto monkeys scream non-stop about the deficit. The enemy is the media, they have destroyed more wealth and lives without any weapons but their pens and voices. Havn’t bought a paper or watched the liars for years. Now we have the great vote tomorrow on wasting another 2 billion in a country that can’t supply enough hospital beds or schools, a registry started all because of some woman hating muzzie, whose real name our great MSM in Canada has never uttered! These dangerous angry faced idiots in the media are only useful to the commie lefties, and they’r sources of income MUST be cut off. Stop wasting money on newspapers and let your polititians know you are sick of spending hard earned money on CBC CTV through sattellit/cable.

  6. When part affiliation is not specifically mentioned and the story is -negative-, assume Democrat.
    In Canadian politics, assume Liberal.
Reason number 10,437 not to pay money for TV. Or radio. Or a newspaper.
I’m saving hundreds a month here! Its like quitting smoking AND drinking both at once, but with no cravings, weight gain or DTs. ~:D

  7. There beyond shame. People can’t but shake heads in wonder over the bias.
The fact they figure we don’t notice is the biggest insult towards the populace.

  8. California is very strange. Local Government is (theoretically) non partisan. Party names don’t appear on the ballot for races like mayor or county supervisor. Until 1959, candidates could register for primaries in either or both parties, and it was fairly common for a person to try one party, fail, then try the other — see the history of Edmond “Pat” Brown, for instance.
The political game in California is to get the Legislature to send money. This is a relic of the postwar years, when industry was booming, the State was flush, and the freeways, school system, aqueducts, and other public works were being built using State money because local taxes were relatively low. As a result, all local officials in California should be, and are, assumed to be Democrats until they are rendered down and a chemical analysis of the stinking fat made.

  9. Live about a mile north of the border. Go there shopping at least once a week, (six pack of real Coors is $5.70).
They are running for everything, sheriff, treasurer, what have you. Interesting thing is that those who are republicans will identify themselves as GOP. Any others that may include republicans will have no identification what so ever.

  10. This place Bell, CA has been on the radar for some time. It seems everybody from cops to dog-catcher has been remunerated like Bill Gates for some time. The Police Chief was getting 2/3 or 3/4 a $million for some time and unionized retired civil servants had “cash for life”.
It’s just that somebody finally figured out how to take them down.

  11. What’s the problem? As demonstrated, assuming the unmentioned party affiliation is (D) has around a 100% success rate.
