  6. I think America is close to lost. I’ve been battling it out on Huffington Post – man – it’s a lonely fight. I try to not act like a “troll” – and use reason and argument, but they and I see the world from two totally different perspectives.

  8. Erik – you can’t have an argument/discussion/productive and vigorous exchange of ideas with anyone unless you have certain basic ideas in common. If you say the earth is flat and I say it’s a globe then our conversations about what’s west of Greenland are going to be meaningless.
    The sort of people who post on HuffPo believe Western civilization, and esp. America, its apex and current standard-bearer, are hoplessly flawed and even evil. There’s the rub, and all our differences flows from that.
    I have nothing to say about the anniversary of September 11th 2001 other than that we must try to remember what this date means and why it matters.

  12. Black Mamba, well said. I also go a step further. It’s not only the differences of opinion regarding the nature (good vs. evil) of Western Civilization. It is that those on the left are able to form, hold, and proselytize the anti-West belief in the face of evidence that suggests the contrary.
    Pick your choice: increasing life spans, amazing medical advances, literacy, infant mortality, ad infinitum.
    So, not only do our differences stem from a basic difference of foundational premises, I would also suggest from a basic difference of logical reasoning. In our world, 2+2 can only equal 4. In theirs….anything is possible, 2+2 could equal red. Or, bananas. Or….well, you get my point. 😉
    One certainly cannot hold a rational debate/discussion with somebody who will not be swayed by evidence-based reasoning.

  13. Wow – thats still pretty tough to watch. And, as for the truther morons, anyone who thinks government is smart enough to pull off anything like this, or any conspiracy frankly, needs to have worked within government to know that in no way is it possible. Government is too big and clumsy, and is even lucky to put together a one-page form; plus someone would have talked by now. And if you think they won’t talk because of some crazy threat of being killed or whatever if they opened their mouth; give it a rest; this isn’t the movies – go outside and enjoy the day.

    It is amazing how many people do not believe in their own country.

We can’t talk about Islam, “The Sum of All Fears” had to be made with Russian neo-Nazis instead of jihadists, we’re still buying oil from Saudi Arabia, there is serious discussion of allowing a mosque to be built near the site of the greatest mass murder in American history, and our soldiers are dying trying to drag a prehistoric tribal cesspool into the 21st Century when they would rather burn their daughters alive than allow them to learn math. The next time this happens – and there WILL be a next time – the smoke cloud will be mushroom-shaped, and the death toll will be in the tens or hundreds of thousands.
    We’re losing this war.

    On the positive side the mosque controversy and the extreme actions of Obama and the Dems has really woken up a sleeping giant. Americans are now aware of the insanity of the left and the Muslims. We are about to see some serious pushback. I hope.

Spineless Politicians skulking about braying like jack asses what Islamists tell them. I’m angry from the willful blindness. The appeasement to pure evil, the break down of our liberties by stealth Jihad.
    Its time folks to fight back in any way short of violence (leave that to the trained Military where it belongs) including mass deportations if violence continues with the lies, always the lies.

  24. Article in Macleans by a muslim woman from Pakistan now living in Canada who managed to escape certain death with her spouse. He was the wrong sect of muslim so her family didn’t approve and she knew her brother and mother would kill her when they asked to meet her in their apartment after she married him as Aqsa Parvez was murdered in Mississauga.
    She finishes by stating though her estranged family have reconciled with her she knows they will never forget her betrayal and she will never forget her what they would have done to her.
    Muslims with all their prejudices and evil culture are pouring into Canada. More fools we for allowing it.
    I don’t think we have to fear any catastrophic events being done by muslims here for as we see in Europe they will take us over by shear numbers and the compliance of the left.
    The pictures showing the English Defence League challenging the muslims are similar to Caledonia. The police are facing the EDL as the enemy with their backs to the innocent muslims behind them /sarc. Just compare their signs, the EDL with “No to Sharia Law” or “English Freedom” against “Death to the Infidel” or “Kill those against Allah”.

Not to be outdone by him I have invented the Koran ciggarette, every time you light one up the riot starts, should be a great party item, wish Billy Mays was still around. Seriously these clowns are like our Fren ch canadians their culture is so fragile they have to threaten everyone who disagrees with it, boo hoo, stay where the raw sewage runs through the streets if this place pisses you off, because your constant whining is pissing us off.     Feel the pulse of America today, we are going to stop tolerating the Intolerant Creed of Wahhabi/Salafist/Political Islam the Islamic Supremacists are not going to be treated like royality by we the people. We can’t stop the politicians and Official Muslim Organizations from getting all the media airtime but we can boycotte Liberal Media enmasse.

  28. My daughter-in-law’s sister was working in New York when that happened in a big office tower a short distance away. She saw the whole thing happen. It was kind of surreal knowing someone who witnessed it.

  30. There is no doubt that emotions rise whe we see this. But keep in mind that the USA inflicted much greater pain on Iraq, although I doubt that Iraq had much to do with the attack on the Trade Center. We got 70,000 of them, and countless buildings and infrastructure with it. (I say we because Canada is still in Afghanistan, where the USA should have gone.)
    Time to bury the hatchet.

  34. I didn’t watch it. I still have vivid memories of seeing it live 9 years ago. I did not want the emotional response that I knew would come if I saw it again.
    Too bad more Americans don’t remember this well….

    I would hazard a guess that they think the same thing as they did on 9/11 2001, that is cheer and hand out candy in the streets.
    If anything has changed I would think it is that fact that they feel emboldened and that 9/11 was well worth the effort since they now have America on its knees over burning Korans and building victory mosques.
    What’s another army in Afghanistan or Iraq to these people? Just someone else to kill or be killed other than the ones who were there before. The cherry on the Islamification of Europe cake for Islam will be America’s full submission, eventually. It is apparent that they feel they are a few steps closer to that goal now.

    Yesterday people were tearing apart Korans in front of the White House. This is a small thing, but its a graphic demonstration that the tide is turning HARD against appeasement and multi-culti style governance. The spectacle of the Western World’s leaders, as well as our entire media apparatus pressuring a non-entity preacher over a cheap publicity stunt to “protect national security” has not been lost on the public.
    Here’s a sample from the “news report” about some guy who burned a Koran in front of Park 51 yesterday, that being the Obama mosque.

    A hate-filled fanatic, with fervor even! One problem, the picture is of Joe Sixpack with a “make me!” smirk on his face. Media morons pulling out all the stops to bend over for Islam as hard as possible, one guy with a lighter shows up and blows the whole deal. By the election Koran burning is going to be America’s new national sport.
    I don’t have a problem with it. After all, we REALLY DO reject Islam, right? We’re really NOT going to convert to doing things the Islamic way, right? We really WILL stomp on anybody who tries to make us comply with sharia law, right?
    Viewed in that light, burning a Koran is more in the way of an unmistakable communication of intent than anything else. Considerably more civilized than the Muslim communication of intent, with 3000 people killed.
    I don’t need to burn a Koran. Joe Sixpack did it for me right in front of their friggin’ victory mosque, and he WALKED AWAY, unharmed, untouched by the scaaaaary Muslims. Booya.
    Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf? Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf, tra-la-la-la-laaaaa!

    On the tall iron fencing surrounding much of the church property were attached literally thousands of tributes,messages and thanks. Tributes to the victims, messages to their families, thanks to the first responders. Reading the messages was an emotion filled experience. It was four words in what was obviously a child’s hand which will always remain with me. “I love you Daddy”. That’s all. From a child who would never again see his or her Daddy?”
    Those four words capture it all. Senseless loss. Thanks for that, Roy.

    Today, nine years after a massive attack and we are still fumbling around.

  41. What distrubs me is this obtuse policy of following an agenda which needs no poll taking to recognize a strong emotional rejection by the majority public. The media and the elites overestimate their influence and either fail to assess or ignore the volatility of the situation.
    Such pent up emotion historically has resulted in an emotional event.
    This “joe six-pack” who boldly did what other merely threatened was not stopped, confronted and allowed to leave unharmed, quietly despite being surrounded (according to the media) by those how strongly objected to his actions.
    Those objectors were likely few and limited to a few craven, media types, who kept a low profile out of fear of their lives…
    This is how successful revolutions start. A tiny spark….an anonomous individual…..igniting the powder keg of pent up frustration.
    My take is that whether or not you currently believe in the metaphysical….once this begins you will join that element in a foxhole.

    We lacked an easily identified enemy nation state. When intelligence identified the Taliban as an accomplice/sympathizer…it was attacked but the fervor of the momment had passed….timing is everything.
    Despite the speed of modern communication, the side effect is an, easily exploited, short attention span and short memmories.

  44. Sasquatch, I’m afraid I’ll have to disagree with you. When you have Taliban spokesmen, people like bin Laden and Imam Rauf, radicalised sons of wealthy financiers in the Middle East and children dancing in the street after the towers fell, the enemy develops a clear identity.
    You are right that we have short memories, much to our eternal shame.
