Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"Smalldeadanimals doesn't speak for the people of Saskatchewan" - Former Sask Premier Lorne Calvert
"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Duplicitous? Of course. Smart? oh yeah.
They know Fox will ask the questions they would never dream to. Or get permission to.
Wow, what a concept, give the most popular TV news network in the United States a seat in the front row. Now that’s what I call truly progressive!
The battle is joined.

Is there an irony in the world or what?
This is good news.
I bet Gibbs is pretty worried. He could barely deal with minor critical questions from people who bend over backwards to make him look good. How is he going to stand the stress of having to answer tough questions from people who have zero respect for him and are much smarter than him.
Should create a lot of YouTube moments.
So Fox’s correspondents get to be the lightning rod.
I hope they have steel in their spines and it becomes a trend among the other newsies to emulate them.
Oz, Major Garret has never been afraid to ask the tough questions.
Probably has something to do with growing with a name like Major…… 😉
Gibbs reminds me of the sham ‘scientist’ John Candy used to play on SCTV, who would never look comfortable but always shifty… and try to make up stories about why your underwear would kill you…
I hope they don’t feel they have to join the inner circle.

I suppose the profession had to do something to recover from the journolist scandal, didn’t they.
Even so, there’s a lot of lefties’ heads exploding right now.
Does this mean that Fox actually gets to ask questions? Does a seat in the front give them preference?
I think you are all misunderstanding what happened here.
The other entity vying for the seat was NPR. Everyone knows that NPR is left-wing. If the WHPC had voted to give NPR the seat, they would have been accused of having a left-wing, anti-fox bias – especially in the wake of the journolist scandal.
Fox would have dined out on the MSM for weeks had they not gotten the seat – they are the leading cable news channel after all.
The MSM members of the WHPC acted out fear not in order to give the obama administration a rougher ride. The y did the minimum they had to do – note they gave helen’s seat to AP and AP’s seat to FOX – they didn’t give Helen’s seat to Fox.
Fibbs and Gibbs must be starting to feel their shirt collars are getting a bit too tight.
Something about Gibbs always seemed odd, then I noticed with his front teeth and facial contours he somewhat resembled an overfed lab rat.
… note they gave helen’s seat to AP and AP’s seat to FOX – they didn’t give Helen’s seat to Fox.

Not being obtuse here…but is there a material distinction here? Or, is it a distinction without a difference?
{quote]Oz, Major Garret has never been afraid to ask the tough questions[/quote]Atlantic Jim
Hmmm Jim you have a short memory…Major Garret was “Big Time” on the Obama team during the Primary.. He got himself in a little trouble with the Clinton group.. Actually I hope FOX replaces him!
Helen’s seat was the choice seat – the AP seat was to the far side on the front row.
whoever gets he seat – make sure to fumigate and sterilize before using it.
Fred: and sand out the “move the Jews” that was carved into the armrest.
I heard The Communist Workers Weekly was getting Thomas’s old seat.
Helen Thomas IS the argument for Burkas.
As of noon today FOX news has been less than leg tinglingly impressed with the new seating arrangements.
Besides …. the PS Gibbs will likely be passing over their heads to back benchers of a more passive or easily intimidated sort.
