    A golden opportunity for Canada to get some immigrants who would make a contribution.
    If I was a European with any drive and/or concern for my family’s future, I’d be leaving that stupid continent behind me.

    They are generally considered educated and intelligent….

  4. The jewry of europe no matter where they are could make a credible refugee claim in Canada I think. It’s pretty bad in France too, I think even in the UK. Hell even in Canadian Universities every year we celebrate Death to the Jews week…oh I mean “israeli apartheid” because the jews are ALWAYS the villains, my mistake.
    It’s so hard to sympathize with Europe, no matter how badly they’re brutalized it seems like they just shrug it off for the greater good of multiculturalism. Isn’t Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party heading back beneath the tides of obscurity again? Be careful what you wish for and all that.

  7. Whats really interesting is that for the last 25 years,9 out of every 10 Jewish persons I talked to were all for wide open immigration,open borders,no descrimination about choosing who comes here,open the flood gates to all western countries etc.,etc.

    I agree with Jay. Most Americans like most Canadians are pro Israel. Obama of course, with his czars Is as usual takes the anti-American position.
    Is their one he has? Has he ever defended America unless, it was bow begging for forgiveness?
    Harper is absolutely Israels friend, which he’s shown in many ways.
    For once Canada is standing against most of the World today for Israel. To my shock, for principle of all things. Anyway makes me proud to stand with the right in this Issue.
    Its interesting that one of the many biblical prophecies of the rise of Israel. Is a second large aliyah religious Worldwide return. Where it says the first would be secular. I can see how that could come about with Europe now in the bed of submission with Islam to kill yet more Jews.

  9. My kids are Jews! this is due to the fact my wife was born to a Jewish family and therefore in the eyes of the world always a Jew. We married in the early sixties. I was understandably concerned when there was a reluctance for her family to accept a Christian son-in-law. Over the last four and a half decades I have come to understand the initial reluctance and now enjoy 99.9% aceptance within a broad extended family (with Holocaust survivors and Veterans of the war for Israel independenc plus many WWII Veterans . Please remember our marriage was less than twenty years after the news of the Holocaust came to the attention of the ordinary North American citizen. With a Celtic last name I have experienced many instances of casual antisemitism in the Canadian culture, not nearly as much in the American culture. having a Celtic last name did not establish the slurs but because of not having a Jewish last name we were more likely to hear a slur from a wide cross section of Canadians. My children and I react to the slurs; my wife’s approach is a bit more forgiving kind of “same old ignorance” try to ignore it. At this point in time in our Canadian culture, recalling a comment from this very comfortable blogsite “would you trust your children to be cared for with these people”, I would with the genuine commenters here and with all of the many American friends (non Jews and Jews)we have come to enjoy over the 48 years of our marriage. I am unable to make the same strong affirmation of my willingness, even though they’re all established adults, of leaving our children with many of the people we know living in the major Canadian urban centres. I will stop now as the bile is rising in my throat. Thanks and cheers to Kate and the regular SDA contributors; Let’s wait for the equivicators, if they are willing to read this long comment to the end, to misconstrue my words.

  10. I wrote a post on this the other day. I was at the park with my son and overheard a group of teenagers. The biggest one, oldest, told the younger ones that “Jews think they are better than us”. Even our nice little boys and girls are picking up Judenhaas somewhere. It’s sad and scary.

  12. Were there people around who twisted reason like this even 100 years ago? It seems hard to believe that this sort of stupidity isn’t new, because it is just so stupid. I suppose it is just because there are so many more people on earth that the percentage of lousy ones gives us a huge pool of jerks to draw from.
    I like the comments above about Jews in Europe making credible refugee claims. I had not thought of it that way. The situation is only getting worse, and any such claims will be even more credible.

Hardly an original point, this, but when the Moroccans say “go back to your own country” – the head-smackingly obvious irony of that aside – the country they must be talking about is Israel. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that these same “youths” want Israel wiped off the map.
    A riveting combination of stupidity and evil. Anne Frank’s memory doesn’t seem to mean much in Amsterdam anymore.

    It’s coming from the MSM and the universities who turn out good little anti-Semites who cloak themselves in smarmy nuance (“Israel Apartheid”) as they corrupt the next generation.
    The further away my undergraduate years become, the more I realize what a cesspool of “progressive” ideology a Canadian university is. If you have kids that end up in such an institution make sure they are prepared to think critically and question their professors and understand that it is the epitome of a post secondary education to respectfully hold the teachers’ feet to the fire.

    Eurabia is a lost continent.
    All non-moslims from majority muslim countries have a much stronger case for refugee status here than the many followers of islam we currently accept as refugees into our country.
    Do you think the Refugee Industiral Complex Hookers (“RICH” consultants, lawyers, refugee board apparatchniks, subsidised NGO ‘activists’, etc RICH from prostituting Canadian passports in a process we get to pay for) might see it that way?

    The Netherlands has had the laziest attitudes towards everything since Canadian soldiers saved them from the Nazis. I hope they’ve realised that these lazy attitudes are biting them in the collective butt.

  19. With the rise of the Conservative Right here in Canada, the compassion for the Jewish people is rising on the meter. It has always been there, but with the antisemitic news stories hitting the MSM every day, the push-back of the Church against this cancer is galvanizing.
    “We stand with Israel” is a common term heard in many of the circle which I travel in. It is more often spoken, not just in private, but in public conversations in the marketplace.
    These anti-Israeli cockroaches will scurry away as long as they feel they are in the minority. The problem is that the MSM is hell bent on leather to make sure there is the appearance that the exact opposite is true.
    Regarding the feeling that the US is moving away from Israeli support lands squarely on the shoulders of Obama. He moved into the upscale Jewish neighbourhood in Chicago, dividing the conservative and secular Jewish community there. He was at first welcomed by the Jewish leaders, they even invited him to their functions, which he participated in. He won their trust but has since seen their support withdrawn, as BHO continues to belittle and degrade Netenyahu and the Jewish people at every opportunity he can. Even Joe Biden has shown the back of his hand to the President of Israel while on a state visit, by showing up 2 hours late for a dinner in Joe’s honor. It was to send a message to the Jewish people of the displeasure from the US for the “Palestinian” occupation settlements.

Having been at the G20 site for the last several days it still amazes me that most of the hired security people are Somali muslims with the women in head scarves or full outfits without the veil. As CICS’s Fadden just warned about the danger of rising muslim threats in Canada are we fools for trusting internal security at this Summit to muslims? It seems to be a real concern for the RCMP and other police officers I spoke to.
    The focus is on the stupid idiots protesting on the streets but I hope someone is watching the back door.
