  9. I can see this on a poster carried in the Toronto’s gay pride parade. What? This was not committed by that evil Israel – oh well I’m sure someone in the gay community will address the issue of muslim hate for gays.

  10. Agreed on the parade aspect, Kate. We def. have a subset of gay people who want to be as outrageous as possible in parades.
    There are a lot of gay people who cringe when they see them out in public that way. I personally do not care at all about the costuming or lack thereof.
    The very real issues of gay people being murdered by the state in Islamic countries should be the concern for “human rights” types.

Kyla, if you would spend some time with those within the gay community and get to know them on a personal level as I have, then you would know the abuse and bitter jealousy which is rampant within. You would also know how twisted they are in their sexual practices. Why don’t you spend some time doing your own research into how ‘normal’ their sex lives are. ;>)

  12. You should read all of Kyla’s comments. I have a lot of gay friends, and no animosity towards the lifestyle. But I do have serious animosity towards anyone who would convert their private sex lives into lewd public displays. That’s perversion, not pride.

  13. That’s what baffles me about the Left aligning itself with Islamists. These Islamists embody all of the most vile bigotry imaginable, the same bigotries the Left projects onto mainstream Western civilization instead of those who very much “walk the walk”.
    I have long disagreed with leftists on philosophical and ideological grounds, but over the past few years I have even lost any sense of their credibility. They tout themselves as such free thinking iconoclasts, but look how they tuck their tails between their legs and shrink away from anything Islamic. Comedy Central can produce a new show premised on mockery of Christ, but won’t allow South Park to even depict Mohammed. The creators of South Park deftly underscored the hypocrisy by ratcheting up their depiction of other religious figures to truly over-the-top levels, in the very same episode that censored Mohammed.
    The Left are mostly cowards nowadays. They assail the same targets that quit being a threat to them decades ago, while having “solidarity” with the medieval barbarians who actually would like to exterminate them. “Look how avant-garde I am! I’ve put a crucifix in a jar of urine!” Yawn.

The result of Gays being portrayed by lewd behavior of Gay Pride is the reinforcement of anti-gay prejudice. “We’re here and we’re queer” has morphed into, “We’re deviant and we’ll gross you off at your expense and BTW, we also hate Israel. How do you like us so far?” Let’s see, on a scale from 1 to 10……..?

  17. Kate, if this is meant for me, I did read the comments.
    I am also making the point that the radicalized group of the community is forefront in the news, taking the spotlight and dragging this whole segment of society with them.
    There are many within that community which live a peaceable lifestyle, but there is also this other side. Just like any group which has been radicalized to the point of aligning themselves with terrorist groups, needs to be exposed and denounced not only by the majority of society, but also by those with whom they are most closely associated with.
    Let’s hear from them, then see how tolerant they are.

The irony is that Israeli courts provide gay muslim women and men refuge, more legal rights than any citizen below the rank of dictator gets in any muslim country and protection from the physical, emotional and financial harm they face in any muslim country. At some point in the not too distant future, straight men and women in Canada will be trying to protect our gay citizens from the implementation of sharia “law” and the gays will be continue to blindly support their potential tormentors and executioners. All the while they will honestly believe they are doing the right thing.

    Living in San Francisco, though, I agree with the others that the behavior of the local gay community is over the edge. They haven’t pushed the envelope, they busted it. There is no sign of discretion, civility, or morality.
    Moreover, making one’s sexuality the central facet of their life is not a healthy practice for any persuasion or orientation. Adopting exaggerated stereotypes of the opposite sex is an insult to both sexes and counter productive to tolerance.
    Elena Kagan was outraged over military recruiting because of DADT but she didn’t hesitate to take millions of dollars from Saudi Arabia to establish an Islamic Law center.

    This is why I’ve been saying here for a few years that: “assimilation will be easy for me”.
    Nothing in our societal woes is mutually exclusive, it’s all related. The bottom-line is that the professional advocates or victims(ie feminists, gays ect) are and have been taking advantage of the useful idiots who are too lazy and uninformed to know they are being used. This is exactly why someone like Alvin Greene can win an election/primary. The formula is simple: white-man bad, black-man good( or any other derivative of this formula). So long as there is money to be garnered from the government, these victim groups will continue to support anyone that is against a government that wishes to cut-back funding for such things. Blacks have a term for this: Porch Nigga. It describes a black-man from the slavery days who got to live in the masters home and received extra benefits, and would often rat-out the other brothas.
    The general theme to most of my comments regarding our social woes is always the same: this is your time in history ladies, don’t drop the ball.

  27. I’ve never understood why homosexuals are so determined to have a “pride” parade. Why is there no heterosexual pride parade? It would be a fun event with a pedophile float, and one for each of the common forms of fetishism as well as both male and female strippers.
    To define oneself entirely by ones choice of sex object seems perverse to me. A majority of homosexuals I have known are deeply insecure, even when they live in the homosexual paradise of downtown Vancouver. Projection is a common defense on their part with any psychopathology of theirs being explained as discrimination by the non-homosexual majority. They’re quick to come to the defense of clear perverts in their ranks because defending a fellow homosexual is more important than censuring a pederast. Homosexuals have over twice the incidence of psychiatric illness of the general population which was quite noticeable when I practiced in Vancouver. Male homosexual unions are notoriously short-lived and unstable and I suspect that lawyers who supported homosexual marriage were thinking of the huge amount of business this would generate for them.
    It’s pretty clear that the “anti-Israeli apartheid” crowd is either brainless and has no idea what they’re supporting, or are usefull idiots of the Marxists who seek the downfall of western civilization.
    As an aside, someone posted a link to the book “The Pink Swastika” here sometime back which is quite interesting reading. I hadn’t realized that revisionism was occurring in this area as the high concentration of homosexuals and various sexual perverts in the National Socialist movement was old news to me.

  30. It is always of great interest to me that I am far more accepted as a lesbian, by Conservatives than I am as a Conservative, by the lesbians.
    I’ve actually had a lesbian boycott of my business because I was a political contributor on _The Hour_ in an official Conservative t-shirt, secondarily silk screened:”Homos for Harper.”
    Needless to say, my gf and I don’t get invited to the local lesbian gatherings.

  34. Kyla- Not sure if it’s still there, but there used to be a “guest ranch” in SW Saskatchewan, that hosted some large gay events. The owners were openly gay, in the heart of cowboy country. The local cowboys seemed to accept them, and the level of tolerence really surprised me. They even invited the locals to some of their gatherings, and plenty of them attended.
    I’d have to think the locals are very conservative, socially, at least. The only thing that made me uneasy was that some of those cowboys weren’t exactly up to speed on the diverse sexuality of the world. One of them told me his wife spent a lot of time with one of the guys, and he wasn’t worried, because the guy was not a threat. I saw the potential for an extremely rude awakening, and in that part of the world, it’s not unheard of for someone to dissapear.

    You’d think, yes, but you’d be wrong.
    Two reasons you won’t see it: 1) Multiculturalism trumps every other -ism of the Left. 2) Fear.
    Marchers in the pride festival in Toronto may be proud but they aren’t brave enough to tackle the real enemy. Instead they pi$$ on the soft target, the target they KNOW will do them no real harm, those gay-marriage-opposing, evil Christians.
    It’s the same reason GBLT protesters disrupt weekly services at various churches and force their way onto the platform but will never burst into a mosque and shove the imam out of the way. Never. Ever.
    What one would also think is that the people who lampoon, say, Catholic nuns and priests in the parade might want to think twice about what they are doing. For, if Muslims get their way, chances are GBLT folk will need a working relationship with the very people they malign today.

Call me names if you like but I’m not apologising for this. If special interest groups wish to promote their brand of whatever in public and at our expense (in every respect), they can take some criticism.
    I would like to see a mayor of a major city have the fortitude to say no to “gay pride” event planners. If we didn’t have some floats whereon half-naked people simulated sex acts, I’m sure society would find a way to survive.

    Kelowna does not have a Pride Parade, but the mayor, Sharon Sheppard, is all over the gay pride activities and fully supports them, to the max!

  44. We have no right to force our culture’s views on other cultures, even if we think we have our God on our side. We sure as hell don’t like it when they try to force their views on us. Keep your sexual preferences and practices to yourself.
