Under the bill, every California pet owner must obtain a license to keep a dog or cat who hasn’t been sterlized, a license that can be revoked if the owner violates a number of animal laws — not just big ones like animal cruelty and neglect, but little ones, like letting your dog stand next to your car in a beach parking beach without his leash on. If that happens, you can be forced to spay or neuter your pet, unless a veterinarian certifies that the animal would “suffer serious harm or death if surgically sterilized.” If a pet owner can’t afford that option or refuses to comply, the animals can be seized and sterilized or even killed at taxpayer expense.

Who’s (really) not taxed enough?
Freedom is the freedom to take your money away (liberal definition).
If one MUST spend tax payer money on animals, it should be to ensure that people who abuse animals go to jail or are incredibly fined, not to harass people whose dogs are temporarily leash-less.
It’s like California hates being financially sound.
The little kid who imagined that the library system was paid for by his overdue fines must have grown up and moved to California.
I think we should spay and neuter all liberals.
Too bad right wing conservatives weren’t naturally impotent and sterile.
I come from a large and accomplished family, T. In fact, many conservatives tend to have significant family sizes and ties, unlike liberals who sit sad and alone, unloved and filled with rage.

What a bunch of BS. Thier broke because they have regulated anything that moves with a tax. California destroyed its own middle class to create a parasite class for Democratic votes.
They did it by over taxation, by bylaws that make no sense.
Compare what it takes to start a company in Ca. Its worse than Canada. More red tape .
