The Standard further reports that President Obama is not satisfied with Israel’s own investigative panel, which would include international participants. As the report puts it, “the Obama administration is reportedly saying that such a ‘kosher panel’ is not good enough to satisfy the international community, or the Obama White House.”
Obama supports the UN “set up an independent commission, under UN auspices,”.
Isn’t this a contradiction? Would not that be akin to asking the neighbourhood foxes to set up a commission to investigate the incursions into the hen house?
I don’t get it – would-be blockade runners end up
dead – what’s the story?
Probably the IDF has carried out an investigation
as to whether the optimal tactics were used; but
that’s their business; it is legal to kill blockade runners.

investigations and the theatre of hauling someone
up to tell them the obvious.
I am quite able to believe that a man who hangs out with Pastor Wright and praises Louis Farrakhan would say such a thing, or that some member of his inner circle might, but my beliefs are (alas) not generally accepted as proof, and Kristol needs to provide some support for such an inflammatory quote. Check his bio and within the first two lines you’ll discover his association with Podesta’s Center for American Progress.
He also publically condemned Arizona Bill 1070 and seemed unabashed when he was forced to admit on national TV that he had not read the 10 page bill. After all, we wouldn’t want to read anything that actually tests our pre-conceived notions now, would we?

I miss W too. I trusted President Bush because he did not pal around with weathermen terrorists or Communists or radicals and he showed that he cared about people – especially the soldiers. What I find so brutally amazing is that the MSM have buried their head so far up the posterior of their leader that they are either blackmailed into not covering the story or they are complicit in the story.
If this were GWB there would be blood in the streets. But even Jeremiah Wright is a ringleader and that does not bode well for shining light on the truth.
And so there should be an independent investigation. What would support opposing such measures?
Anyone who say’s the actions of Israel are ‘gods work’ or anything to the effect that faith legitimizes their actions is living in the past. This is the year 2010, we have lasers that make people see with better than 20:20 vision…it’s time to drop the irrational faith based arguments.
