  1. The rest of the world seems to be wondering in amazement, “You had all this and you threw it away? In exchange for … what?”

  2. Threw it away because urban liberals are reduced to tears whenever Europe says America is boorish and unsophisticated for not having 8 weeks of paid vacation and 14 monthly paychecks per year.

  3. First they make you ashamed to be who you are, and once you’re ashamed of who you are and what you believe, they will then tell you who to be and what to believe.
    Screw ’em.

  4. When (if) John Q. ever does wake up, it’ll be ugly. And the longer we put it off, the worse it’ll be.

  5. “God Save the King” – that’s pretty funny. Few Americans know where the tune for the sweet land of liberty song came from. Ditto The Star Spangled Banner – The Anacreontic Song!

  6. True enough, though I’m sure “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” is what they had in mind. It was the unofficial national anthem of the US before the Star Spangled Banner, and done to the tune of the well known British anthem.

  7. Ken (Kulak): “So when is Joe Public in North America going to wake up?”
You know what, Ken — and I suspect you might agree — the only “prince” that can cut through the tangled undergrowth to awaken Sleeping Beauty is Jesus Christ.
I know people will roll their eyeballs at this, but when Christianity was strong in the West, we had watchmen on the watchtowers and men and women willing to fight — and die — for their faith and the freedoms for which it was the foundation.
We’re entertaining ourselves to death; with no power greater than mini-me, to whom too many North Americans pay hourly homage, we just don’t have the backbone to fight the anti-freedom forces not just at our gates but inside them.
Until North Americans take the faith of their fathers and mothers seriously — our faith history is one of the many casualties of leftist revisionist historians — I can’t see any alternative but that we’ll be sleepwalking to the end of the plank.
    Glug, glug, glug.
    Kyrie Eleison.

    Thank you Kevin.
I always thought that there was a sort of tie between ‘America the Beautiful’ and ‘the Star Spangled Banner’ as America’s national anthems.
(I always favoured ‘the Star Spangled Banner’.)
    About the teaching cartoon vid:
Unionized Labour was miscast as a potential dupe of the ISM Snakeoil Saleman.
Unionized Labour should have been part of the Medicine Show as a lackey of the ISM Salesman.
Plus, farmers were already on the government dole, thanks to FDR.
Farmers should have been cast as lackies of the ISM Salesman too.
    The politician?
He IS the ISM Salesman(along with the Edumacators and MSM) in the real world, whether some people categorize him as a narcissist or not.
    What’s in the bottle?
Legislation, miseducation, and rulings from the Supreme Court, plus social programs and subsidies.

  9. I remember this being showed in Grade seven.
Its got to be one of the best exposes of totalitarianism their is.
All in the art of making a cartoon.
This could have been made today.

  10. Joe public IS starting to wake up but so far feels confused and disoriented from his long sleep. All he needs is a clear goal and a strong leader(not a politician) or at least a strong focus point for his ire or to rally too.We cant trust MSM, politics,or big business. All we have so far is places like this to really discuss whats happening to our society. We built our country and original laws under God and have been seduced away from those original ideals.Start speaking out and maybe go get your firearm posession liscence and God save our land and pass the bullets!

  11. batb @ 6:50, you are right, on all counts. Those that stand for nothing, will fall for anything.
Killjoy, hope you are right. I fear greatly that my grandchildren here in North America will suffer the same trials, tribulations and murders by government as many of my relatives did for seventy years in the former Soviet Union.

  12. batb and Ken Kulak are correct, IMO. We should not forget that we have our own Troika lurking in the shadow of parliament and we got rid of the Liberalism only a few short years ago. I was very afraid for my country when the Liberano’s were running the show – Liberano backers are ready to pounce for power again with or without their pals in Sepratistism and Dipperism.
This is a great cartoon, thanks for posting it Kate. The anointed one with a mustache!

  13. The only chance we have is if we awaken in time and in sufficient numbers to counter the pervasive brainwashing of radical-leftie marinated old msm. And before we are swamped by 7th century fascism.
The funny thing is the lefties will be the first cohort violently eliminated once seventh century fascism takes over. Tehran 1979 etc, QED

  14. The critical mass today is on the side of ISM. It is not necessarily intentional. Ignorance of the uninterested is such, that they know not what’ up. To be informed requires an effort, getting away from a video game, shutting down the laptop for a day, reading some basic economics if there is such a book. It would seem that, that is too much to ask.
It only takes a few well put phrases of an ISM demagogue and the uninformed will accept it for sole reason that it sounds good. Many today, are quite persuaded that you can go on living without any input of value, as the well known video of the woman that said that Obama will buy things for her. Can you say uninformed?
The video should be played in a class room right after the song Barack Hussein Obama, mmm…mmm…mmm, right after The Inconvenient Truth and other such propaganda masterpieces.
Things unfortunately will not change until the masses get burned, ending up in gulag for saying things, being put in gulag because your neighbor did not like what you said, getting fired because you glanced at your ugly coworker for no other reason than passing by, walking down the street with friends and saying things that a passer by did not like.
If you think that is reaching too far, I grew up in ISM like that, it is no “fantasia”.

  15. Batb – finding even a few teachers to show this to a grade 7 or any other class for that matter would be difficult indeed. As for Jesus Christ – well the Courts in the US have banned Him from the classroom and it is official now – Chairman O has stated that America is NOT a Christian nation.
Slowly but surely the mighty United States of America is surrendering all that has made it great to those who sell the snake oil that would have us believe that America is evil.
Time to wake up – indeed.

  16. California and the eastern USA are to liberal, socialist to save anyone. The south is our only hope…strong, christian, and a sense of value from those rebels will lead the charge.

  18. The USA is (once upon a time that would’ve been written “the USA are”) just about to the point where a handful of large metropolitan areas dictate national policy to the entire country. The famous red-blue map of counties bears this out: a vast sea of red punctuated by blue islands. One result is the spectacle of urban liberals in a Manhattan coffee shop presuming to know what is right and wrong about the laws of Arizona, thousands of miles away.
At this point the best case scenario is a new Byzantium breaking off from Rome.

  19. Yep…….storm clouds coming and a regional division….
A minority thinks it is the majority but it’s leaders know they are outnumbered….and out committed.
The TEAPARTIES have made this too obvious.
Somehow the current administration has to find a way out…..the logical answer is a war to cause a majority to rally about the fool and his pals. However they are too desperate and will muff it.
Hopefully a velvet revolution will result but somehow I suspect the fool will draw first blood and we shall all reap the whirlwind.
California was the logical straw that breaks the camel’s back but it now looks like Arizona of all places.
