  1. Holder is really not that great, is he? In his little speech, he said this bomb was “set by an American”, “to kill Americans”.
    Too cute by half. The first part – well, we know who the guy is, the second part, Times Square is an international marketplace and destination. Where do they get these gov’t guys from?
    Secondly, I was watching CBC Newsworld after midnight my time – after CNN was talking about details of the attempted bomber – and poor old Wendy Mesley (didn’t know she was still around) – was talking about the “white male” caught by the security cameras.
    Don Lemon from CNN – this guy is the worst. His comment “You really don’t expect this coming from Americans”. Well, unless they’re members of the Tea Party, right Don??

    lat time I heard the dude arested was a “naturalized” American, originally from Pakistan. Besides lots of references about a white dude, there is not a single word that starts with M, I or even R as in religion. Strange.

  6. According to ABC news this morning, the guy was an immigrant from Pakistan who became an American citizen last year. And he’s a Muslim (yes, ABC did mention that, albeit only once).

    The masterminds behind such plans are of course very careful not to get directly involved themselves. Rather they send an expendable idiot to carry out their plans.
    It doesn’t exactly give one a comforting feeling to know that the only thing separating success from failure in the next attack is the level of stupidity of the Muslim involved.

This could just be a run of the mill nutjob trying to demonstrate his jihad cred to person or persons unknown to get consideration for inclusion in more serious projects. His apparently almost total ignorance of how to steal vehicles, cope with the VIN number system, rig explosives, and then finally trying to flee the country at the last minute by doing an air ticket buy for cash do not seem like the actions of a trained operative.
    Some reports say he had worked on Wall Street and then eventually lost everything. That would explain a lot regarding his mistakes. As Obamugabe’s minions dig deeper into this affair it wouldn’t be surprising if they discover he had unknowingly been doing the bidding of some white supremacist militia based in either Glenn Beck’s or Rush Limbaugh’s home town …………………………

  15. It was nice of the guy to leave his keys with the tags to his own car. Even with this help the guy was on the plane backing away before they found him. He wasn’t on no fly lists but he did pay cash.
    This is in NY where they tend to be pretty good at this type of thing, so picture LA.

Stratfor is now reporting to their intelligence subscribers that Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Faisal Shahzad had some militant training in Kohat district, which is associated with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan. They are also reporting that Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency have set up a special investigation into this matter, and that at least five people have been arrested in Pakistan in connection with this matter, which suggests that Shahzad may not have been acting alone.

You look at the stuff Kaczinsky pulled to escape detection, then you look at these schlubs, they aren’t even trying. They’re proud of themselves, they want everybody to know it was them who slapped the Great Satan upside his head.
    Even so, reports I’ve seen indicate they captured this guy -on the plane- waiting to go to Dubai. A decent set of fake papers and he’d have been off to his new life, no problem. Or if the bomb had gone off successfully they’d never have got the VIN number off the truck in time to nail him.
    Meanwhile, the authorities are still trying as hard as they can to twist this stuff to implicate rednecks, tea parties, militias, -anybody- except who it obviously is.
    Americans, you guys might want to do something about that real soon.

Jon Leibowitz ran a funny bit on the Daily Show, first showing the total inanity of the MSM the day afterwards, with broadcaster after broadcaster making various of states of “we don’t know his origin.. his mission.. the type of bomb.. how destructive the bomb would have been.. why it failed to detonate..”, etc. Stewart cried into the camera “Why do you spend so much time telling us.. WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW?!!”. Then, he showed clips from Monday, where various hosts spoke in detail on why the bomb failed to explode “He didn’t turn on the propane tanks.. the bomb lacked an accelerant.. he used the wrong type of fertilizer.. etc.”. Cut back to Stewart, rapidly taking notes, muttering “Accelerant, OK. Open tanks, OK..”. Then he looks at the camera and says “Why do you spend so little time telling us what we want to know, and so much time telling us WHAT WE SHOULDN’T KNOW?!!”.
    We may be lucky the jihadis on US soil have all been varying degrees of stupid and inept so far, but if the MSM keeps helping them by telling them all the errors they made, sooner or later, one of them will get it right. At that point, the post-attack MSM spin will be “How did they get this training?”.
