  1. Nature provided the Tar Sands and we extracted the fuel so that the Ontario folks could put $10 worth of gas in their car to deliver .03 cents worth of empty tofu packaging to the recycling center every Saturday morning.

  2. I’m sure Calgary does have smog.
    It’s just that I haven’t seen that thick brownish blanket that hangs over the city core for a long while.(years)
    Maybe that thick brownish blanket had something to do with the horrendous dust storms that blow around here at times.
    There is/was a lot of farmland immediately West of the city and the city core is in an ancient lake bed.
    The wind gusts can top 90kmph.
    I guess I’m really not sure now whether that brown layer was actually smog instead of dust in the first place.

  3. According to those figures, Saskatchewan puts out 75 million tons of ghg’s and Ontario racks up 195 million.
    Isn’t it all about what goes into the air, not how many people are on the ground?
