The Sound Of All Hell Breaking Loose: Kevin, Gavin, Mike – It’s Seth Again!

Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
By Seth Borenstein, Raphael Satter and Malcolm Ritter, Dec 12, 2009

“E-mails stolen from climate scientists show they stonewalled skeptics and discussed hiding data — but the messages don’t support claims that the science of global warming was faked, according to an exhaustive review by The Associated Press.”

  1. From The AP ‘Statement of News Values and Principles
“It means we avoid behavior or activities that create a conflict of interest and compromise our ability to report the news fairly and accurately, uninfluenced by any person or action.”
They really do need a phone call in the a.m.

  2. People outside our “peer” group are starting to come to the realization that AGW is BS. For a couple of years people thought I was some kind of rightwing conspiracy theorist but people are listening now. Most people where I work now think AGW is fraud.
And, people are starting to see that MSM is worthless.
    Keep up the pressure!
    Cheers!

I am observing the same thing. Instead of the usual ‘the science is settled’ rebuttal, I receive a; mmmmm could be. Or no response. The defiant defense of climate alarmism is gone.

  4. AP are the same people that put eleven ‘fact checkers’ to task on Palin’s book.
They are all about facts you know….

me thinks their are “all about cheques” and financial decline, hide that decline:-))))

  6. From an American Thinker piece Dec 13.
The Wages of Climategate (JR Dunn).
A month prior to the e-mail release BBC reporter Paul Hudson was offered the files but refused to acknowledge them. We’re getting close to the point where the dictionary definition of “journalist” will have to be altered to read, “A media personality who attempts to stifle news stories out of cowardice, ideology, or for pay.”

  7. Speaking of AGW Sycophant Journalists, guess who Lorrie Goldstein is referring to here:
I’m not sure which is worse.
Is it painfully self-righteous journalists-cum-environmental-radicals like the U.K.’s George “Moonbat” Monbiot, falsely accusing Canada of being a “corrupt petro-state” as the Copenhagen climate follies drag on?
Or is it the cheering from their sycophantic, know-nothing journalistic admirers in Canada, one of whom recently wrote a piece of such spectacularly uninformed drivel that appeared across the pond in the wake of the Moonbat’s ravings, that it practically screamed: “Oh, flay me, George, flay me, you great big, greenhouse-gas emitting hunk of Canada-bashing flatulence, you”?

  8. That’s a lovely set of “news values and principles” the AP have there.
Has anyone in their employ read this in the preceding 20… 30… years?
“But always and in all media, we insist on the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior when we gather and deliver the news.”
“That means we abhor inaccuracies, carelessness, bias or distortions. It means we will not knowingly introduce false information into material intended for publication or broadcast; nor will we alter photo or image content.”

  9. Marc, I remember about a year ago reading a vicious attack against Michelle Malkin on the Newsweek site. I read their Ethics Responsibility and wrote both the author and the editor. I received back some B.S. from the author that ethics guidelines were “more flexible” when it came to blogging on the site. In other words, “Ethics Don’t Apply When It Comes To Attacking non-Leftists and non-Leftist Causes”.

  10. No. No. You don’t understand.
He’s the science writer guy. If he had been benched and the blurb written by some other hack, that would have looked like a conflict of interest had been decided in his case. This way the drivel goes into the top of the archive during the Hopenhagen Climate PR blizzard as “proof” against Climategate, to be recycled when necessary. It is interesting that the 2 week embargo of Climategate in the MSM ended when the barely mentioned truth could be inserted while being vastly overwhelmed by pro-Climate Change coverage.
