Excuse my ignorance, but what precisely is the Macdonald-Cartier Society?
Please don’t suggest that I travel to Ottawa and sit in a pub for three hours at a cost of $10 to find out. While thinking in terms of such a low fee, perhaps if they charged more they could have their own website and get the word out to more of the citizenry.
Is there a Western branch of the organization?
I’ve updated the post with a link to their website.
The Macdonald-Cartier Society exists solely to enact a toll strategy on Hwy. 401 in order to support their meetings at the various pubs.
Ok, I made that up but it does look like a great club to join if you’re in Toronto and like to hoist a few once in a while….
Geez, I can’t even do a simple PSA anymore without the critics lining up.
Thanks, Miss Kate – the website makes it all clear now. First dot tee kay site I ever saw.
Just don’t confuse them with the McDonald’s- Cartier Society, a group of French-speaking explorers dedicated to establishing the precise location of every fast-food restaurant in America.
