  1. Either global warming is responsible for the shrinking of the cattle or they were purposely bred this way to reduce their CO2 output, but no matter the reason rest assured that Al Gore is going to be all over this soon.

  2. Saw this in Portland OR over the weekend too.
At least socialism hasn’t yet killed off any American creativity and ingenuity….yet.

  3. My God Kate, I knew it was too early to watch that. Now, that stupid song is gona be in my head all day, 😉
    And we don’t have a Jack-in-the-box in Ruston, Louisi-Yana.

  4. I’m surprised the SPLC hasn’t gotten its shorts in a knot about the corporate exploitation of height challenged cattle and cowboys.

  5. Ratt, I watched it without the sound on … better that way … smaller impact, if you know what I mean …
‘Nice to see some TV work, however, for the short people.

  6. I’m outraged at the proliferation of LAME: Libropogenic Attrition of Midget Exploitation.
Time was, you could catch a midget wrestling show on TV at least once a month. These days, you could go to any number of faux Irish pubs and never find even a single night of midget-tossing!
Where’s the justice for these people, anyway?

  7. Should I be offended? (On behalf of little people? Or COWS?)
    Amused?
    Hungry?
I don’t know how to feel just now.

  8. Black Mamba: “I don’t know how to feel just now.”
Small, maybe … or, on the other hand, nine feet tall?
    😉

  9. batb – like when I hold one of those teeny-tiny but anatomically perfect bottles of booze which they sell for $4.49 at the liquor store?
p.s. I’ve wondered – was “batb” once a mistyping of “barb” – the “r” and “t” keys sitting next to each other on the keyboard – which you let stand? I like it, it’s oddly striking, I’m just curious.

  10. Black Mamba: batb = been around the block.
I don’t give my age away, but many of my posts probably make it fairly easy to guess in a ballpark sort of way.
I go back a long way, and am a bona fide Boomer!

  11. This reminds me of a tongue in cheek article in OMNI magazine back in the early 80’s. The writer described a new fad in Japan for miniaturized genetically engineered Kobe beef cattle. The cattle were kept in pastures in the middle of the restaurant where the diners could choose their dinner. Kind of like the lobster tank. The funniest part was some people actually believed it and wrote letters of protest to the editor.
