I did a little trick with the missus…without telling her what it was about and without showing any of the story, I showed her a picture of the Big Zero logo and asked her for her first impression. She said it reminded her of “Nazi stuff” and was “frightening”. So there you have it.

I’m not convinced on this “birther” stuff, although that’s an interesting article. But the constant haranguing on the part of some pretty vocal conservatives is having the same appeal as the rosie o’retard “fire doesn’t melt steel” and 911/truther viewpoints.
If there isn’t solid proof of obama’s country of birth, then let it go! Good grief, there is fodder enough for every conservative in the US based on his sleazy appointments, unconstitutional czars, socialist “bailouts”, cap/trade, healthcare “reform”, ad infinitum. At every turn, he’s exposing himself as the utterly unfit, socialist amateur the right knew he was. Let him continue to drive nails into his own political coffin and faster, please.
Conservatives run the risk of looking like they’ve the obama equivalent of Bush Derangement Syndrome by harping on the other stuff.

When I first saw the logo the first thing that struck me was not the “O” but the “eagle”. It immediately reminded me of the logo/emblem that was so dominant on the cap worn by the SS and other German officers of WW11.

what the birthers ignore is that McCain could have used that angle (either her or S Palin)during the campaign, they didn’t, because McCain’s people went to Hawaii and came back concluding that the Owe was born there. Both certificate evidence plus birth announcement in the news paper (there are 2 such announcements, which are difficult to fake)
I thing this birther thing is a distraction that could be used in the future to discredit opponents, once they have invested a great deal in it. Also timing will be important in the discrediting.

Re the birthers – look, he was born in Hawai’i.
So, what’s the big deal? The big deal is, I’m sure that along the way he’s falsified information, perhaps to get better scholarships (registering as a foreign student??).
It’s just that simple. People should stop obsessing about trying to prove he was born elsewhere than Hawai’i, and try to figure out why there is smoke.
What does his University registration say? What do his scholarship applications say? What status did he claim for personal gain?
Those are the questions. Forget the other than Hawai’i crap. Playing into that conspiracy suits him him and his machine just fine.
Re the new logo – sorry, I can’t get worked up too much about the Nazi association – their badges etc were more “horizontal”, whereas the typical caduceus (cf) (even used by the American Medical Association) is more vertical.
What interests me though, is that the symbol of the snakes in the classical caduceus, which some interpret as representing peace (Hermes intervening between two warring serpents) has now been replaced by a big O, for our new peacemaker (PBUH), enveloping the American colours.
Yeah, I know I’m being a bit harsh.

A doctor gets paid money for initiating “End of life counseling” and can get a document choosing to stop expensive life extension measures signed right there. This is part of the “bending the cost curve”. I don’t see how this is “voluntary”. The only way to avoid it is to avoid the Dr. It’s a “win win” for the Dems, in fact its a win win win, because the elderly vote far more reliably Democrat once they are safely in the cemetery.
