  1. Britain is still producing something??? Even if it is just a list of numbers, how did the unions/gov’t ever slip up enough to let something actually be produced.
    Damn right there’s a Mole!!! Someone on the left is obviously NOT who they claim to be. We need to organize a witch hunt right away, not to find the mole who released the data (as who cares) but the mole who is obviously still doing some work.
    That can just NOT be tolerated in this age of egalitarian obsolescence….

  2. This data and how it is manipulated (aka data water boarding) results in the highly global warming supportive Hadcrut global temperature set.
    Shouldn’t take long for Steve and his Stats supporters to reverse engineer the process Prof. Jones has been using to hype global warming.
    The Hadcrut folks must be crapping their pants now that their methods are on the verge of being exposed.

  6. Come on, Fritz! You know very well that suppressing data is a heinous crime… when conservatives do it. When liberals do it, that’s different. No news story there, eh?
    If Harper wants the MSM to cover this he will try to suppress, censor or otherwise shut up Steve McIntyre. THEN the MSM will cover it.

  7. This story also surfaced on geek site “Slashdot”. One British twit “BasilBrush” called Steve a “climate troll”, and said (approximately) “Why should the British government spend any tax dollars to give him the data? He’s not British.”
    As someone noted above, if GWB had tried to suppress US temperature data from being distributed to anyone, regardless of national origin, he would have been called a fascist, anti-intellectual, etc. etc.
    But I really liked one of the Slashdot rebuttals, where the poster wrote (approx.) “If the AGW proponents really believe in their science, why don’t they release their code/data? Surely this would shut the “deniers” up quickly, and for good. The fact that they don’t has to throw suspicion on their conclusions”.

  9. We have all heard the arctic ice is melting….only mostly first year ice left…..global warming is running amok.
    It has been widely reported so it MUST be true.
    The only problem is that sometimes the cries of the fear mongers are pure crap!
    Greenpeace gets harrassed by arctic ice.
