  1. What about this pitch for “all day kindergarten”? Pat Bacchus, chair of the Vancouver School Board, calls it “a good education investment” and no doubt it is for employees and board members. What better way to gain total control of the bodies, minds, and souls of our children? What better way of leading the children away from the influence of their parents, especially in the field of morality and religious influence?

  2. Very good harp playing by these guys. On the big chromatic there were only 2 people to rival them. Larry Adler and Little Walter. My first paying job in life was a a harmonica player for a blues singer from Louisiana. Seems like a lifetime ago. Actually it was.
Stevie pull some licks out of the vault for this. Very good stuff. One thing I always liked about Stevie’s playing was that he was very jazzy and could bring out the “highbrow” stuff but when needed he would dig into the “old school” harp playing. His Jimmy Reed style playing on Reggie Woman was beautiful.

*”Lead found in Michelle Obama’s White House vegetable garden
It was meant to be a show case for healthy living, with the first lady, Michelle Obama, personally putting hand to pitch fork in a crowd of school children to dig up the first White House vegetable garden in more than 50 years.
Instead, an embarrassed White House admitted today that the plot – whose lettuce, herbs and other produce have been consumed by the first family, visiting dignitaries, local school children and a women’s homeless shelter – had tested positive for elevated levels of lead.”

    Another truth ad from I-Iggy/MSM.

“Ignatieff calls Tory attack ads on Block(sic) ‘unworthy’”
“It’s a reference to the fact the Bloc voted against a bill to impose minimum sentences for the trafficking of children.
The Bloc has said it voted against the bill because the party opposes minimum sentences that take away the discretion of judges when sentencing criminals.
Ignatieff sided with the Bloc on Saturday during a speech to Liberal party supporters at a Calgary Stampede breakfast.
“They’re basically accusing the Bloc Quebecois of being soft on pedophiles,” he said.
“I’m in politics to defeat the Bloc Quebecois with real arguments, rather than slurs and vicious . . . personal attacks. This is unworthy.”
He also repeated a similar message in French.
“I will never descend to that level of attack because when we do this, we fragment our country, we divide our country. We create suspicion and fear and hurt, where there has to be healing.””

  5. The London Times is now the third source this year that I have come across indicating a growing tactical alliance between the Israelis and the Saudis. This article does not mention the Egyptians, but my other two sources indicate that Egypt may also participate in action against Iran – not militarily, but in intelligence.

The head of Mossad, Israel’s overseas intelligence service, has assured Benjamin Netanyahu, its prime minister, that Saudi Arabia would turn a blind eye to Israeli jets flying over the kingdom during any future raid on Iran’s nuclear sites.

Arab states would condemn a raid when they spoke at the UN but would be privately relieved to see the threat of an Iranian bomb removed, he said.
Referring to the Israeli attack on an alleged Syrian nuclear facility in 2007, Bolton added: “To this day, the Israelis haven’t admitted the specifics but there’s one less nuclear facility in Syria . . .”

  10. The late great United States
    By Patrice Lewis
Ah, the glorious Fourth of July. The best possible time for a national day of mourning.
I mean, really … what better day could you choose to lament the loss of what this nation once was? We led the world in nearly everything: independence, liberty, freedom, industry, wealth. We rose beyond the stain of slavery and Jim Crow laws. We embraced all nationalities of legal immigrants with remarkable smoothness and out of many, became one.
    But no more.
Now we are fragmenting. We are reversing the motto of our country and out of one, becoming many.
