Yes, just where are these jobs? It seems to me if indeed they do create jobs it’s at the expense of existing ones with an overall net loss in employment, maybe Dr Fruit fly can enlighten us on this subject.
I still say this whole global warming/change thing will go down in history as the biggest scam of the 21st century and obama as the Nero of our times.

I’d like the job taking care of the trees. But only in the summer when they have leaves.

Why aren’t any of our politicians or senators asking these questions? Australia’s senate appears to still possess the ability to think critically AND put forth well thought-out questions…which even the most soft-headed lunk can understand.

Also no Latinas. No handicapped, and only 1 elite guy of colour. This is not very inclusive. I’m offended. The artist is lazy – there is a repeat of white guys and none of the above “minorities’. I want my affirmative action affirmed!

Thanks for the small dead animal swarm (?) over at my place – I nearly had a fit thismorning when I realised I’d had 600 hits overnight! Thanks to my visitors from SDA… and the commenters.
Barnaby is good value with a lot of things, he helped launch Ian Plimer’s book Heaven + Earth here, and he’s confronted “believers” with these kinds of questions… funnily enough there’s been no satisfactory answers*. I have some info on the book at my blog, and the launch. I just hope that Barnaby doesn’t sell out, the anti AGW fight is worth staying – we have to do it for our prosperity and for posterity!
*unicorns and fairy dust is the usual answer…

Most “green” jobs are lawyers and other sorted civil servants lurking in the bushes next to your home ensuring compliance to the new rules…
Just look at Spain’s experiment.

spain. for every “green job” created 2.5 regular productive jobs were lost. the green jobs are not producing adequate tax revenue. what the hell is going to happen when there are fewer profit making taxpayers than tax users. duh, bankruptcy. countries can and have gone bankrupt.
