No need Kate. My mum can already shoot. ~:D
Do it!
There is strength in numbers! It shakes the left up quite handily when those 3 letters are visible to them.
A Canadian membership in the NRA doesn’t hurt Canada. In fact? It scares the bejeebus out of our left. They keep thinking that the NRA is coming to Canada.
Gordie Howe school of blogging.
Elbows up!
🙂
I love the bumper sticker I’ve seen here (only in Alberta):
“Piss off a liberal, buy a gun”
Obummer just about single handedly brought America out of this recession when he hinted that gun control was on his radar. The numbers of guns and ammo bought after that was nothing short of staggering.
Is there nothing the man can’t do?
BTW, I did sign my mother up. She still lives in the states. Maybe the mailman will ask what she’s packin’.
Go look at the NRA store online. Imagine a liberal online store selling copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the US and the Bill of Rights.
I think you would be more likely to find collected works of Marx, Lenin, Marcuse, Mao, Bill Ayers, Ward Chirchill…..
If you’re a liberal in charge of multiculturism and youth, you can pick her up a couple of imported slaves to rub her feet and scrub her floors at a real good price.
Form won’t accept postal code for zip code ?
A good offer. Is there a Canadian chapter?
Actually the NRA does scare the beejeebus out of the lefties—-for good reason—-despite having only 1/4 of the budget of anti-gun lobbies, such as Sara Brady, the NRA remains the most effective, powerful lobby in Washington.
It’s not $$$$ it’s the grassroots membership which at the drop of a hat can bury Washington with e-mails, telegrames and letters……some the left can’t do……..
What’s worse for the lefties—-that critical mass ALWAYS votes.
Despite the $$$$ Bam Bam et al have funnelled to ACORN, the lefties fear the Republican National Committee….
Red Fox.
NRA has been advised of the PCode issue. 😉
J Lewis. No there isn’t a chapter.
The closest we have to the NRA is the Canadian Shooting Sports Association.
Joining the CSSA doesn’t hurt either.
I am an NRA member, but I don’t like their frequent endorsement of Democrats who are liberal but not anti-gun. Here in Montana, most of our lefties don’t dare vote for gun control, but our two Democrat Senators still go to DC and vote with Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Obama on all the other liberal crap. I will probably join the Montana Shooting Sports Association (MSSA) soon, as they leave no doubt about which side they are on. Here is a link to their pro-gun work: http://www.mtssa.org/successes.phtml
They didn’t have Ontario. I was ready to look up the postal code for Stornoway.
Mike T, you’r right. The NFA is the closest thing to the NRA we have. I have seen these guys lobbying CPC politicians and they are assertive. Their news magazine is informative and professional. I placed a link a few days ago to a story they carried from JPFO.org entitled “Know your Enemy” by Gus Cotey.
This article really opened my eyes.
Anyone who believes that the gun control crowd is after a safer society is naive indeed.
Early history: After WWll, most of the countries that became NATO organized a Militia system. A military officer came out to all the rifle ranges and started “militias” (non Government paid and supplied national defense forces). Some still exist today (Pacific Coast Rangers) but only as a fraction of their early counterparts. PET saw to that. He started up a peace youth movement known as Katamivik. Not the same thing. The “Peace Activists” were on the job to dismantle civilian armament as early as 1964 with the founding of the “Coalition For Gun Control” in Vancouver around that time. Gun Control is Politics, not safety and has been ever since.
I think you have to be an American citizen to join the NRA. Read that somewhere a long time ago.
Canada has the NFA and the CSSA, both are worthy orgs and the people in them work hard to preserve our rights.
Still won’t accept my address in BC
I’m already a five year member. I bought my first membership the day Cho killed all of those students at Virginia Tech. Signed up for five years after Obama won and I was heading to South Korea.
I gave my car to my god-daughter. I told her she could remove the NRA bumper stickers but had to leave the NRA stickers on the front windshield on and think of me when she sees them.
the bear.
Canadians can join the NRA.
Either CSSA or NFA in Canada to help preserve our heritage here in Canada.
Piss off a lefty. Get the courses, get the license. Buy firearms.
