The Wikipedia item on him detils how he tried every trick in the books to prevent extradition from France. His eventual trial resulted in a guilty verdict but his defense was predictable. The CIA did it because he was such an important activist and enemy of hte state. Jury took two hours to convict. I guess they were not impressed.

Of course it is. All those commies didn’t fade into oblivion after the fall of the Iron Curtain, they regrouped – and they’ve been far more successful with this green crap than they ever could have been with bombs.
It’s nice to see that the greens have found their true calling. After all that experimenting with Hari Krishna, Children of God, Scientology, acid/pot and anti war movements. It’s all come under the new world order of Green. Unfortunately the people who used to keep them in line are now too old to care. Laughing at them doesn’t seem to have the same effect it used to either.
