So, how come we never see blonde, beautiful, mother of two, more-than-just-a-pretty-face, Laureen Harper on her motorcycle, taking care of orphaned kittens, or going about the business of raising significant funds for breast cancer research?
Of course the media are going to capitalize on a handsome couple in the White House.
So, why do Canadians NEVER see their First Couple on the cover of our newspapers or on TV, especially when Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife are making a significant and positive impression on governments and media in Europe?
We all know the answer to that question: In the Canadian media, the only good Harper is a Hidden Harper. According to our media “pundits” (sic), it just won’t do for Canadians to know how attractive a couple the Harpers are — or how respected they are in international circles.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper is a far more experienced and capable politician than Barak Obama. It’s too bad our media suffer from myopia — self-inflicted, of course.

Gee TV Two, if only fox News knew there was going to be a terrorist attack in Bombay (or whatever they call it now)they could of had a local bureau. Sometimes it don’t work out, eh. Fox linked up with Sky News when the terrorists began bombing London and Glasgow pretty fast. With all the taxpayer funding you would figure CBC has people everywhere but alas they seem to shuttle the same dude or dudette to every place.
What is put out for local consumption is the yardstick I go by. BBC International and CNN International are pretty good but on the home front it is a full court leftoid press. And every “news” channel has their own Geraldo who is way over the top at any and every disaster, feeling everyone’s pain.
btw, as a former Air Force wonk and aviation person, I can say that EVERY news media outlet stinks at reporting aviation events. The “facts” that come forth from the talking heads in order to fill air time is embarrassing. “Tis better to be thought of as a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.” or something like that.

As I was buying some groceries I was reading the headlines of various magazines and one of them had a picture of the big Owe coming down some stairs and the headlines had something like “Canada Hosts a World Leader”. My thought was “Canada has the best world leader living in 24 Sussex”.
Those arms look like stovepipes to me…no biceps and no horseshoe on the triceps…..there should be a definite indent between the bottom of the shoulder and the tricep……if you ever saw her in a bikini I think you would gag…..Obama was very friendly with Canada’s Governor General, who is good looking and fit….it is ironic that Obama said he wants to keep in touch with the GG on the problems in Haiti…..write it down guys one day it will come out that they are an item…

So far, I haven’t seen the kind of money necessary to do a proper job of reporting coming out of the internet.
Google will probably offer news soon as they expand their empire. they have the potential of being a single source information system. not what anyone would wish for.

Ms Kaplan writes the whole article on the derriere of the First Lady. She refers to that anatomy as “booty”.
