Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Seems people everywhere no longer want lies and angry faced “pundits” in newspapers delivered to their doorsteps, they pick up the newpapers only because it is to much trouble to lug your computer to the bathroom, and that is all the dignity most newpapers deserve. The truth, with no social engineering is available through Drudge,Breitbart and great blogs like this site and many others. If you want your little Noam Chomsky brain massaged go to National Hate Harper Newswatch.
“He conceded that for those without computers and broadband access at home, “this isn’t necessarily going to be the best news for them.”
I’m not quite sure how to process the abject irony in that statement. They ceased being the “best news” for anybody a long time ago.
“If you want your little Noam Chomsky brain massaged go to National Hate Harper Newswatch.”
Since their inception after Neale News folded, the principals behind Newswatch are still a mystery.
Perhaps if Kate ever has a slow day, she can shed some light on whose corporate hand manipulates the headlines.
Well, for those paying attention, Sweet Thing was featured on a sidebar link for the entire duration his Daisy Group ad was up on the site…
Funny how you never mention cuts at CanWest or the Sun chain.
The paper-boy unions will never allow it to happen. Besides, without the paper shacks where will kids learn to smoke and swear.
And thus begins the slaying of the MSM dragon!
ooohhhhhh I can’t wait for the CBC to do its part of cost saving and fire a few hundred useless staff.
“ooohhhhhh I can’t wait for the CBC to do its part of cost saving and fire a few hundred useless staff.” – Fred
Won’t happen. I heard during the election campaign that the arts & culture industry in Canada is worth $700 billion. That’s like half our GDP. That’s obviously why we couldn’t cut $45 million from their budget.
The MSM toboggan picks up speed on the slippery slope! Whee!
Its going to be a fine show when they finally hit the creek, eh?
When will the Red Star hit the wall? Any guesses?
It already has. The publisher and editor were canned this fall, the stock is worth half of what it was a year ago and the staff has been cut.
Daisy gruop – Warren Kinsella?
C’mon Kate, help us old guys out here!!!
Daisy Group – Warren Kinsella – National Newswatch?

Mark…scoot down to todays reader’s tips,3rd comment. And yeah, she has put up articles on the Sun’s decline also.Problem is,that chain has all the GOOD journos,(and yeah, some sicko ones also)but they are tarred with the same brush as the rest of the MSM scum.
“Daisy Group – Warren Kinsella – National Newswatch?

No, just saying that for all the whining Kinsella does about Bourque “selling headlines”, he’s not above buying a few on his own behalf.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
It’s actually the sort of behavior that psychologists tell us arises in men who had weak fathers.
Ummm .. the Sun chain in Calgary uses independent contractors to deliver the newspaper.
Are they really so thick at the Detroit Free Press that they haven’t figured out this is a great cost saving measure for the newspaper?
I would think paying an independent contractor is far cheaper than maintaining their own fleet.

You are right Kate, I have a friend who studies this.
As a matter of fact, it results in verbal flatulence, delusions of omnipotence, weak backs, bad hearts, infantile and adult thumb sucking, incontinence, Chill-blains, hemorrhoids and an addiction to Viagara.
All are symptoms which our good friend Warren seems to suffer from.
I would recommened a good purging with an industrial strength laxative, followed by a week on the beaches of Hudson Bay,
News aggregator National Newswatch, which is widely read by members of the Parliamentary Press Gallery, party workers, politicians, and political junkies, has featured many of the blog-related gaffes that have become stories in the mainstream media. The news aggregator is run by an anonymous individual who identifies himself by the pseudonym “Paul Fook.” Last week Mr. Fook, who still declines to offer his identity, answered a list of questions posed by The Hill Times via email.
