Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind”
Hosea 8:7a
Just remember what happened to Fisheries Minister’s office when the fish quotas were enacted.
Remarkable idea in these trouble times. Our egg “marketing” boards ensure that farmers receive fair “market” value for their eggs, and no out-for-his-own-family-will-not-play-by-the-rules-put-his-own-capital-at-risk-knuckle-dragging-nazi chicken farmer upstart will undercut “market” prices and thereby cause social injustice.
So, these spent eggs support the farmers, and the “marketing” boards and all their appointees, and their families, and their accountants and investment advisors. This is good for the economy and helps bring about social justice to boot.
Every egg that lands where it should not is actually an event to be celebrated with gusto on the left as a selfless act that creates all kinds of revenue opportunities for those whose job in life it is to push their snout around in the trough to hoover up every last morsel.
What’s happening with the Petition for Separation that is being circulated in the west?
I have emailed some of our MSM but the silence is deafening in that regard.
Mostly Harper bashing.
I would think it should be newswirthy.
How about it CBC, CTV. Duffy?
Ujjal got egg on his office.
Good, I remember that Supine Socialist and how he pawned BC.
That would be “newsworthy”
J.
Campbell & brad Wall made sense last nite on duffy
Now if we in ontario could only get dalton to speakup against this deal.
Danny well expected as much out of Him
one should be careful about egging the future minister of gubmint grants. he will be responsible for handing out the chicken feed once the coffers are emptied into Windsor , PQ and Laytons downtown riding.
I agree bryanr. And Duffy’s provided some great covereage too and has focused heavily – moreso than the CBC – on the Bloc’s role in all this and their de facto veto over parliament.
I mean, let’s get something straight here. In the current composition of parliament, the CPoC can pass legislation WITHOUT the Bloc’s support, bringing truth to Harper’s point that the Bloc can get nothing done because they will never be in gov’t. Now, having said that, the Bloc of course can vote for gov’t legislation it supports and see it pass. But the key difference is that legislation it DOESN’T support can STILL pass in the current parliament. With Harper’s 143 seats, some Liberals could vote for gov’t legislation, some New Democrats… or a combination of some from each party. It only takes a handful.
Under the coalition scenario, however, provided an angry CPoC with all 143 seats it has votes against everything this cabal tries to do, and there’s every reason to believe that will be the case, the Liberals and NDP could pass ABSOLUTELY NOTHING without the Bloc’s support. And THAT is the fundamental difference here.
I’m tired of the MSM spinning all this, saying that the proposed coalition and most importantly the Bloc’s role supporting it, is no different than the Bloc voting for or against legislation in the current composition of parliament.
This is simply amazing to witness the “tree” parties involved in this plot along with the propagandist cheerleaders in the MSM commit suicide and not even notice.
As a resident of Ontario I think that western separation would be the wrong route and obviously does not get the attention of the MSM. I think the proper approach would be for us to politely ask Quebec to leave. This would both rebalance the federalism and solve the unity problem once and for all.
Throwing eggs at Ralph’s office ultimately hurts the anti-coalition side. Throwing money at the Conservatives, even if it is only $10 bucks hurts the evil coalition.. Send an email to the federal Liberals and the provincial NDP telling them that you vow never to vote federally or provincially for either the Liberals or the NDP as long as you live if they do not actively and clearly denounce the Liberal-NDP-BLOC coalition.
If you are so eager to separate Joe, feel free to leave. All the separation you want then.
Maybe move to Quebec so you will feel right at home?
And I was and am in Calgary. But maybe I used some remote-controlled flying eggs programmed to target the DNA profile of Ralph ….. or any of the Unholy Alliance crooks in Ottawa …
http://watch.ctv.ca/news/latest/mps-weigh-in/#clip118064 – The media holding someones feet to the fire? I laughed out loud.
Show your support for an election. This is how we do things. If Harper loses he loses, if he wins he wins.
The opposition parties have opened a scenario they did not think through, they do NOT know what they are doing
1) Miscalculated nationwide reaction to official pact with the Bloc
2) Offering a group of wise men who back out, proving they have no plan
3) Mis-reading the constitutional tea leaves and asking the GG to insert her judgement in place of the peoples, assuming she is a rubber stamp
These are not serious men with serious plans. They are on a childrens crusade, undisciplined by constraint, experience or reality.
Hey Atlanticjim ( or anyone else for that matter) – I don’t want to live under communism.
A separate west would be the last bastion of socialist / communist freedom in what is still now Canada.
Quebec is a socialist state and has been for decades, surely an easterner should be able to recognize that.
That’s really odd, Kate — I was in Regina.
I could’nt have done it. I was having to much fun picking on the nieghbors last night about the coalations ‘favs’. They are not to happy with the libs and ndp. Nobody ever seen this as they were voting for them in the election.
Stephen, laser precise.
I would add a couple of points…
4) Negotiating patronage and possible critically important cabinet role with representative of party with ZERO representation in HoC.
5) Lying, in a purposefully deceitful manner, to the electorate with regards to the formulation of a coalition.
Listen to Charles Adler
PM totally humiliates Dion after BQ give standing ovation to separation !!!!

James Moore talks Coalition
… Dion and Layton are finished as National leaders after this !
Now Dion can be known for his Quebec clarity act and the soon to be needed Western Canada clarity act.
I don’t understand the Liberals. They should have voted in favor of the public financing cuts. Yes, you’ll say “but that would hurt them”. It would have also wiped out the Greens (who steal their votes), the Bloc (who are their main competitors in Quebec), and incapacitated the NDP. They wouldn’t even have to run a campaign in the next election to become official opposition. Oh yeah, and Dion could take credit for destroying the Federal Bloc which would help his reputation.
What’s does he do instead? He keeps the Greens on life support and cozies up to Lizzy May, he legitimizes the Bloc, and he gives creditability to the NDP by giving their future leaders cabinet positions. At the same time he alienates the centrist and federalist base of his own party. He also further alienates the West which is the fastest growing region in Canada.
For a smart man he sure is dumb as a brick!
Does Wikipedia.org have any offices in Canada? I ask because of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:2008_Canadian_political_dispute
Notice that the coalition does not include the Bloc Quebecois. I realize that this is the perception that the Liberals & NDP would love for us to believe but then I’d have to distrust my eyes which clearly showed Gilles Duceppe’s name on Le Document de Treason.
Incidentally, we haven’t won this fight yet (so keep on fighting hard!) but something has changed over the past 24 hours in our favour. My sense is that the liberal MSM simply couldn’t pretend any longer that the vast majority of public opinion was AGAINST Le Coalition. Gary Mason talks about this here: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20081203.BCMASON03/TPStory/TPComment
That’s really odd, Kate — I was in Regina.

ROTFLMAO. (And for Kate’s joke too.)
Robert W: But the MSM is still blaming Harper, who must go, for this while ignoring the BQ and NDP planning this “a long time ago” and that Harper withdrew the $1.95 subsidy cut from the financial update on the weekend that, supposedly, was the final insult to the noble opposition.
Maybe I’m naive, but I find it hard to believe that there aren’t a group of Liberals in the pack possessing the principles and cajones to wipe their hands of this sordid debacle and step back from the abyss. After all …. they can’t all be desperate, power-mad, bottom-feeding, elitist, entitled scumbags. Can they?
He’s scrambiling.
Here’s how it looks to most westerners: Toronto, Quebec and Atlantic Canada would rather strike a deal with separatist traitors than work with federalists from the west.
Backbench Liberals will have one last opportunity to stop this nonsense. If not, the west will leave. Bet on it.
Agreed … the MSM cannot ignore their own polls which show Canadians are horrified over this issue.
Last night Mike Duffy had 3 talk show hosts (Bill Carrol CFRB) , Charles Adler (CJOB) and from Calgary (sorry missed his name).
All three said they have NEVER seen such a ground swell of outrage over the Coalition.
… CTV seems to have edited out the clip from the online video.
Mike also had a senior ex-Liberal Sarkis Assadourian who was vehemently opposed to the Coalition.

Can anybody confirm the whereabouts of Hank Yarbo at the time of the alleged egg throwing?
Can anybody confirm the whereabouts of Hank Yarbo at the time of the alleged egg throwing?
I just cancelled my Star Pheonix subscription this morning. I told them the paper had too much liberal/socialist bias for my taste. Lots of Harper bashing, so I’ll take my money elsewhere.
The networks have offered this cabal-to-be equal airtime to PMSH. Dion will speak on behalf of it. But wait!!! Layton wants equal time as well because the argument is that the coalition isn’t official until it actually takes power. So we might have Dion and Layton splitting their allotted 10 minutes.
Question: Did the networks offer CPoC leader Harper and that of the opposition equal airtime when Martin went on national TV to try and save his gov’t? I can’t recall. Does anyone have the answer to that?
Has anyone heard anything…anything at all…from Ralph Goodale on this?
I just wanna know if he’s found his cajones and actually came out with a statement yet.
Seems any time anything monumental happens in this country, Ralph is “unavailable”.
Can anybody confirm the whereabouts of Hank Yarbo at the time of the alleged egg throwing?

LOL. And don’t forget that Dion is the world’s biggest hoe. (And good move, Pongo, re. cancelling.)
“Eggs Thrown At Ralph Goodale’s Regina Office”
Were they easyover, scrambled, or benedict ?
Did anyone catch the one female caller who told Charles Adler that she was upset with “how biased” he was? It didn’t matter to her that he’s a commentator/editorialist, not a reporter.
He played some mind games with her though, saying that, “yes I’m biased, in favour of Canada.” She was stunned by this and then drew the last desperate quiver from the Liberal Elitist weapons pouch: “Mr. Adler, I’m much more educated than you [so I know better].”
What did this arrogance and massive insecurity remind me of? Oh I know, John Miller’s losing battle with Mark Steyn!
An interesting twist to resolving the Koalition showdown is that Stephen Harper resign and a new interim CPC take over (lemme guess Ontario’s Baird/Clement/Flaherty?).
Then they would make nice with the Power Grabbers.
And the CPC stay on as the federal govt.
Clearly, these alleged political experts don’t understand that this is Jack ‘Egomaniac’ Laytons 15 minutes of fame.
And Ego Jack would never consent to that deal after getting this close to the power of a federal govt cabinet post.
This is about Ego Jack Layton as much as anything.
Another poll awaits your input:

Everything is under control people, everything is under control. There is nothing to see here, please move on. Our Premier Daltom “the bright” McGuinty spoke to CAW people and he has their support. Our Premier Daltom “the bright” McGuinty also spoke Dion and assured him that whenever Dion is ready his troops are also ready. One phone call and Dalton will dispatch Toronto Regiment of Red Guards to board destroyer HMCS Haida moored at Hamilton Harbour and they will sail it Ottawa. By Sunday they will be ready to start shelling Parliament Buildings. Everthing will be kosher McGuinty’s people consulted Russian to make sure this Revolution will be conducted according to proper protocol.
Not only has Jack sold out his socialist principals by abandoning the very centrepiece of his own platform — cancelling the $50 billion corporate tax cut — but so too have the women in the NDP caucus…
Dawn Black of the NDP was just asked by Duffy to comment on what he’s learned… that there are no women from the NDP selected to be in the coalition cabinet. She replied, “Mike, this is about jobs for Canadians not who is going to be in cabinet”
I heard on CKNW radio here in Vancouver, an ad paid for by “concerned Canadians, and the Canadian Labour Congress” asking for support for the coalition, and to join their rally this weekend. Didn’t take long.
“”Mike, this is about jobs for Canadians not who is going to be in cabinet” — This comment from Dawn Black confirms for me that a lot of MP’s are being lead around by the nose. They are living in a fantasy land. Before this is over, they will have succeeded in destroying many jobs.
Eggs Thrown At Ralph Goodale’s Regina Office”
Were they easyover, scrambled, or benedict ?
Posted by: Joe Canuck
My guess is that they were benedict…as in arnold.
Rotten eggs for rotten Ralphie, who sold out to the Bloc.
The behavior of NDP supporters and unions in all of this reminds me of how common it is for left-leaning socialist types to also have something of a totalitarian streak. I was active in a union for a while, and those at the top can be very nasty individuals. Socialists too seem not to care much for personal freedom (real freedom to choose). They seem quite prepared to impose their views on others — like it or not. I am viewing the coalition as a totalitarion takeover — moveover, once in power I am concerned that they will be manipulating the system enough to secure their longer term interests.
LindaL — noted and well said. There is no doubt. The Bloc gets mentioned as the bad guys, but I think the NDP should be feared the most.
