Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is asking the military and his supporters to prepare for a showdown with his newly elected political opponents.
He is telling his backers they must be prepared to die for the revolution.

“Die”, of course, meaning “kill” when applied in the time honoured socialist context.

The Russians are helping Chavez to build nuclear power stations.
Of course he has no intentions of getting nuclear weapons just like those peaceful Iranians.

Mutually Assured Destruction appeared absurd at the time, but it worked. The players were rational players in the game; they understood that mutual destructuion was not an option.
Now, we have players in the game who are NOT rational. Destruction of themselves is acceoptable as long as they destroy the infidel. This irrationality is part of their weapon of terror; it is part of their religion, the poobah himself started it. The best way to deal with these players is kill them all; no prisoners.
