At War With “US”

… or at war with “them”:

Obama has chosen another course. Though he comes out of the McGovern-Jesse Jackson left, he has shed past positions like support for partial-birth abortion as fast as he has shed past associations, from William Ayers to ACORN, from the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to his fellow parishioners at Trinity United.
One question remains: Will a President Obama, with his party in absolute control of both Houses, revert to the politics and policies of the left that brought him the nomination, or resist his ex-comrades’ demands that he seize the hour and impose the agenda ACORN, Ayers, Jesse and Wright have long dreamed of?
Whichever way he decides, he will be at war with them, or at war with us. If Barack wins, a backlash is coming.

And “war”, it will be … click.

  1. kinda “Birth of a Nation’ meets
    ‘The Fountainhead” ………….?
    it’s gonna be boffo !

  2. Since scruples seem pretty much deceased in politics these day’s, maybe McCain should take a page from our own LPC’s playbook.
Time to chat up Obama’s “hidden agenda”.

  3. howcum blacks are the only racial group permitted to use the n word? why is that? governing motive, bias, prejudice, behavior based on race? isn’t THAT the ultimate in racism?
its a powerful word and carries a strong message. cuts to the chase; that’s why its either free and clear or NOBODY including blacks can touch it.
language evolves. new words pop up, old words fall out of use and meanings change. slang constitutes half the communications of some groups, profanity another group.
why is the n word so unique that only 1 race can use it?

  4. Far from embracing the “politics of change”, what Obama has shown so far is the face of a classical, south-side Chicago uber politician. This guy will say and do whatever he thinks will keep him in power and make him popular. He’s slick Willie squared. The saving grace of that will be that, effectively, if Obama is elected, the US will have no president, merely a hand puppet of the opinion polls who will defer to every strong personality he encounters.
If not, he and the Dems will have two years with control of the congress, after that two years of deadlock, and then twelve years in the wilderness while the Republicans give the American people time to recover from the ravages of an ideological Obama presidency. Obama could be just the tonic true conservatism in the US needs.

  5. Very true DrD.
You read my thoughts. Short term pain for long term gain. America is used to sacrifice, thats what makes them strong.
Give the Liberal/Dems plenty of rope.

  6. personally I think the US election is between a terrible choice and a worse one. not saying which is which.
the old nostalgia POW angle, emphasizing the past and those achievements, or cult-like oratory, emphasizing the future, the silver lining. things not yet firmly in the back pocket, but made much more attractive.

  7. Speaking with one of the groom’s uncles at a wedding in Kansas City in July where they all disliked Obama was quite interesting. One point he made was that only thing Jimmah Carter gave America was Ronald Reagan. So as many of you have noted, out of bad can come good.

  8. the second amendment is there so the people can physically thow the bums out, with extreme prejudice if necessary.

  9. There’s one problem with this characterization of an Obama presidency; it usually takes more than 2 years to feel the effect of Democrat blunders.
Consider the current financial crisis. Bush takes the blame (and rightly so to a degree), and I never hear it mentioned outside the blogs that Clinton and Carter policies were what set this crisis in motion.

  10. The last Presidential debate made it very clear that Obama is driven by an agenda that is NOT healthy for America
His words regarding Energy (oil) leases makes that very clear..
Obama said “Use IT or Lose IT”
    What does “Lose it” mean?
    A) Obama will take those leases and give them to China?
    B) Obama will use that threat to obstruct Energy independence, R&D, all of the above. Resulting in the continued 700B outflow of American wealth to Obama’s foreign Marxist friends.
Obama is not on the side of America, and once the Stock Market recognizes his negative impact.. it will tank!

  11. Well said Phillip G. Shaw! You cut right through the fluff…bottom line speech, we see too little of your straight talk these days.

  12. I lived through the seventies, don’t want to go back. If Obama believes in “spreading the wealth around” I hope he knows that this only results in spreading the poor around. He as said that he knows that lower capital gains taxes bring in more revenue, but it is a matter of fairness. Cripes. We are doomed. I hope we are counting votes ’til Christmas if that is what it takes to keep this commie out of the WH.

  13. Why do parents make their 12-year old kids wear such t-shirts to school? They should be ashamed of themselves.
On Obama, I suspect he will indeed give in to his ex-comrades, in fact he’ll probably embrace them.
