and now the poor sap has NO ONE who cares for HIM.
a 10 year old or older child is no longer “anonymous” since he or she knows his name or address. These parents should either be charged with child abandonment, or made to pay the costs that the state will incur to look after these children.
interesting… so this means parents of unruly kids can now threaten to send them to Nebraska? 😀
The answer is simple…More social workers!

Hey, maybe I will quit my job, dump my kids off in Omaha, and stop paying my mortgage. When I am bringing in only unemployment Obama can give me a “tax cut” that will keep me in ammo and gas for my boat… I like it. The govt can buy my house and not kick me out. Life is gonna be great people.
hah!
i’m sure a few million dollars and some legal heroin will fix the problem

“All 50 states have safe haven laws, but only Nebraska’s lacks an age limit.”
No age limit, huh? The kids should have dumped the parents – better off without ’em.
if word of this gets out there could be a stampede of parents to get rid of kids that can’t be controlled by the parents and won’t be sanctioned by the courts.
Could be a tourist goldmine for them
“Child Drop Off & Casino”
Damn, I wish this was available when I had two teenagers at home.
“OK kids, we’re going to Nebraska for our vacation this summer” Heh, heh.
Good one Tim.
Good one Fred.
Road to……………unintended consequences.
…can I dump my parents off?
😉
hehehe
Remember the old Dangerfield joke: “I was kidnapped and my parents paid a ransom for the kidnappers to keep me.”
As the parent of two teenagers, I have already done the math on a round trip to Omaha…
…Ha! Bill, good one!
So where was Nebraska 15 years ago when I had teens?
What about my 20 somethings that won’t leave home? I’ve already stopped buying cheese!
Why are these people having more children than they can afford to raise. Those circumstances are an IQ test that, if there were any justice, would have Darwinian consequences.
Having said that, I’m grateful there are so many good Nebraskans and Iowans who have had children and who take such good care of them. This is the last bastion of the nuclear family in the U.S.
The hearts of these good Nebraskans are in the right place but their attorneys need a swift kick in the nether regions.
shit, my only comment is, stupi, stupid, stupid to infinity.
i’m really going to go out on a limb here. a very close relative worked for the cas in ontario. they would remove a child from dangerous circumstances only to have the courts return the child to dangerous parents. this person quit. no pension no money from the gov. just couldn’t handle the shit anymore.
