High quality,or low quality. It matters not when you adjust and re-adjust until you get the answer you want. Just wish I could use this method for my taxes!
OMG I didn’t know it was THIS bad! And what troubles me, is that the implication is given this guy’s the most pristine data and that MOST of the other stations are 1) moved 2) changed its surroundings. How can anyone trust the RAW data even from the other stations? And regardless if the raw data is pristine or not, it goes through numerous conversions and adjustments. This historical temperature data is of the most unscientific nature: 1) changing measuring circumstances, 2) tampered with.

It’s even worse than that, Erwin. It’s standard practice by some of the modelers to invent or ‘extrapolate’ values in data series where values are missing or not recorded. The original hockey stick series of proxies used by Michael Mann et.al. were riddled with extrapolated values.
Green science rule of thumb: if the facts don’t support the conclusions, make them.
Reducing pollution is always a good and welcome thing, but being swindled by the likes of Gore and Suzuki the sheep will get what they deserve, the humiliation of being shown to be so gullible.
How close are we getting to a legitimate case of fraud? Money is being made from manipulated figures in the carbon trading scam. Is it any different than Fanny Mae, Enron or the Banks cooking the books to produce favorable results?
The left is always searching for something that can cast the widest net such as “global warming” or plastic shopping bags that “everyone must take action on right now” under their direction. It is curious that the actions mostly involve prohibitions that adversely impact first world economies and are often shown to be BS some years later.

It is not that I feel sorry for sheeple, they truly get what they deserve but the fact that their hysteria leads to me paying for their Chicken Little solutions, has me wanting to go out and want to smack some sense into somebody.

All of our politicians in both countries have agreed under the table to bend us over on this issue. Sure in five or ten years EVERYONE will know about the fraud, but by then it is too late. We will be paying for Carbon, and like the GST, income taxes and every other tax, once it is here we won’t get rid of it.

We have lost the GW fight, our politicians (Conservatives) have sold us out. As I mentioned before a majority Conservative government will be a bitter sweet victory. This government may steer us in the right direction and is better than any alternative; but, we are being lied to. With friends like this who needs enemies? I had thought a Conservative majority intent on a EEE Senate would quench my desire for a sovereign western state but this BETRAYAL has me second guessing that position.

Since the IPCC loves to show graphs displaying “mean global temperatures” to within 0.2 deg C, then the original data must have an error of less than 0.2 deg C. I’d be curious to know the resolution of the thermometers as originally read. For myself, I’d be hard pressed to read a temperature to within 0.2 deg C from the thermometers I used to read when I recorded weather data when I was a Park Ranger.
