Cardinal Turcotte hangs an albatross round the necks of SOW and the Citoyen Dion Liberals.

“Archbishop of Montreal giving back his Order of Canada because of Morgentaler flap
By THE CANADIAN PRESS
SAINTE-ANNE-DE-BEAUPRE, Que. – Jean-Claude Cardinal Turcotte, the archbishop of Montreal, is returning his Order of Canada because abortion doctor Henry Morgentaler received the same honour.
Turcotte said Thursday he hoped the controversy surrounding Morgentaler being named to the Order of Canada in July would prompt officials to revise their decision.
Turcotte, who received the honour in 1996, says he could no longer stay on the sidelines because he believes his silence could be misinterpreted.
He says he feels obliged to reaffirm his convictions regarding the “respect for human life, from conception to death.””

“Dion declares himself champion of national unity”
““While he was busy talking about building firewalls in the West, I was fighting to keep my country together. Because I love Canada,” said Mr. Dion. “I do not need any lessons from Stephen Harper on fighting for the national unity of the my country.””
From comments:
“Conservative for lower taxes, cheaper gas, less government from Canada writes:
Dion and the Liberals are not only campaigning in the Maritimes but are looking around the countryside to see what they can tax next. It takes a lot of money to run all these Liberal socialist sponsorship programs. The auditor general said the Liberals cannot account for $40 million dollars missing & unaccounted for from their last sponsorship program. The one that got them kicked out of office, hopefully for good.”
“Not The Real Jacques Parizeau from Montreal, Canada writes:
Dion the champion of national unity ??? Tell me its a typo please. Both Quebec referendum happned under liberals watch and its no coincidence as they were directly responsible fpr the rise of separatism in Quebec. Liberals are directly responsible for Western Canada alienation and some out in the west are openly considering forming their own country. The only thing that save the liberals in the 1995 referendum was the fraudulent manoeuvers of the federal government and the ethnic votes as 60% of Quebecers voted yes which was just short of what it takes to pass the 50% 1 threshold.”

The gomery inquiry brought out the fact that liberal campaigns were recieving cash and also had ‘volunteers’ that were on the payroll of the scammers. Why have we never found out which liberals were recieving the ill-gotten gains? Most of the graft was flowing to Montreal area rdings, and where is Dion’s riding located?
Here’s a really great ‘ad’ for John McCain on YouTube – by a young US soldier. You have to watch the whole thing.

“Statement from Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion
Today I announce that I have asked for and received the resignation of Simon Bédard as the Liberal Party of Canada’s candidate in the riding of Québec.
Clearly, Mr. Bédard agrees that the statements he has made regarding First Nations people are not compatible with the beliefs and values of the Liberal Party of Canada.
While Mr. Bédard has clearly indicated that he no longer holds those views, the Liberal Party of Canada’s proud tradition of support for our Aboriginal communities must not be overshadowed by these comments.”

“Former Quebec Tory now a Liberal
Wednesday, September 10, 2008 | 10:54 AM ET
*Ricardo Lopez — remember him?
He was a Tory MP in the 80s and 90s. He also had some controversial opinions. He called for an end to social assistance and Employment Insurance for those who are able to work; during the Oka crisis he suggested natives should move north to Labrador; and he voted against all abortion unless the life of the mother is in danger.
Today, he’s the Liberal candidate in Beauharnois-Salaberry, south of Montreal. But he’s not a very high profile candidate if you judge by the Liberal web site.
Click on his profile and very little information appears, not even a picture.

Chris, I know where her site is. It was giving off some weird error message when I posted yesterday.
A liberal candidate from Regina resigned a few weeks ago,Garret Oledzki, for personal reasons. The biggest personal reason was that he was suspended by the Sask.Law Society for forging wills. Cbc has overlooked this little misstep.
bagadonitz.
good to hear from you. As a bluenoser who is half newf with relatives still anchored to the rock I can speak with more authority than most can imagine from my statements.

What’s this???
_________
Asked about the sputtering economy, Dion told reporters he would spend $1 billion of the revenue generated by a carbon tax to promote innovative, energy-efficient manufacturing. Dion favours tax incentives to help companies buy new “greener” machinery and equipment.

I thought we were getting it all back in income tax breaks!!!
