For someone who was whining just two days ago about being deprived of a chair at the leaders’ debate, she wastes no time in shutting down an ordinary citizen.
It’s as they say – “Green on the outside, hot pink totalitarian on the inside”.

(Note – context for the video at Stephen Taylor’s.)
Upon further reflection, I have to add that there is a special sort of stupid involved when a political party threatens to sue someone they only know as “leftdog”.

  1. Let the “Games” begin.
I believe when Jacko Layton sided up with the leader of the “Harpoon itself” party in trying to keep May out of the debates, Jack’s words were published in full. Not a mere snipit.
So an NDP blogger tries to gain back a little steam for the flagging good ship lollipop. Shiver me timbers….
I noticed one commenter alluded to the greenies “right wing” colors.
Welcome to “Slagfest 08”. Your new and improved political process.
What I want to know is what are they going to do about Freddie and Fannie and all that insignificant stuff?

  2. Stephen: “Her Director of Communications belongs in the Conservative war room for his repsonse.”
No, he doesn’t! He belongs exactly where he is–in the out-in-left-field-whacky-bullying Green Party.
For the discerning, this response of the Green Party to this video is exactly the reason we didn’t want to see Eliza May screaming and bullying her way into the leaders’ debates. She’s a harpie and a grandstander, pure and simple. She’s entitled, spoiled, loud, and MEAN.
She has no entitlement to participate in these debates–and I question “the hordes” of Canadians who demanded that she be allowed in. I suspect it was the anti-CPC/PMSH attack dogs in the MSM that concocted the “Canadians want to hear from her” story. I’m one Canadian who patently doesn’t want to hear from her. I’ve heard enough already, and it’s only day six of the campaign.
On the other hand, her participation in the debates may be a great gift to PMSH–IF the moderator shuts her up when her clock is ticked out. And now that it appears that she’s going to throw her support to the Librano$ on the eve of the election, I have to agree with Stephen Harper when he says that this May/Dion “coalition” is “unfair.”
It is unfair–so why is it being allowed? Because poor ol’ little Eliza May is a woman? Oh, I forgot. Feminists expect special treatment, not equality at all. She’s playing the I Am Woman, I Am Special card.
    Well to He** with that.

  3. OMMG said: “Wrong Ted. The question is which of these politicians are going to get the hell out of our way and out of our pockets so we can make our own lives better.”
Amen to that!!! And that, dear friends, is the difference between liberals and conservatives.

  4. Correction to above post: Stephen Harper said what’s unfair is HEARING from the May/Dion “coalition.” It’s essentially like having TWO Liberals participate in the debate.

  5. This might explain it. From Wiki…
Elizabeth May was born in Connecticut. Her mother was a prominent anti-nuclear activist and one of the original founders of the peace group SANE. May attended the prestigious Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, Connecticut.

  6. Who cares what Tin Lizzy spouts? Her tongue is in overdrive or fast forward screech, so much to say, so little time.
She can call Canadian voters stupid but we’re not stupid enough to vote for her one issue party masquerading as operating on a full slate and joined at the hip to the Dion Liberals.
What does John Bennett do in real life?

  7. To be fair to Ms. May, there seems to be no shortage of American left wing root stock that takes sprout in Canadian politics…
Corky Evans (born January 2, 1948, in Berkeley, California, U.S.A.) is a prominent provincial politician in British Columbia, Canada. He twice ran for the leadership of the New Democratic Party of British Columbia, placing second both times. In both cases, the party formed the government of BC and its leader became Premier of British Columbia. He has served in several cabinet ministries.
Miller was born in San Francisco, California. His American father, Joe Miller, died of cancer in 1960, and his English mother Joan returned with her son to Thriplow, south of Cambridge.[1] Miller spent his earliest years in England before moving to Canada with his mother in 1967. He attended Lakefield College School on a scholarship at the time Prince Andrew was a student there.
Naomi Klein was brought up in a Jewish family which has a history of activism, as does that of her husband, Avi Lewis. Her grandfather was fired for labour organizing at Disney in the United States. Her father Michael, a physician, was a Vietnam War resister and a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility.
Sven Robinson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, of Danish descent to Edith Jensen and Wayne Robinson.[1] His father opposed the Vietnam War and brought his family to live in Canada.

  10. What she said or did not say at this point is irrelevant. The actions of her party with regard to the strong arm tactics should raise the alarm bells to all Canadians that to vote for her party will usher in gag laws not disimmilar to those the Nazi party ushered in in the early thirties to quiet the opposition (people who like me tried to warn the rest of you) and jailed them after much public ridicule and persecution through the courts, later hanged for crimes against the state. Learn of the story of Sophie Scholl, a student who spoke out against the party and paid that debt with her life.

  11. Q: What do Elizabeth May and Heather Mallick have in common?
A: They’re both Toronto centric arrogant liberal elitist snobs who adamantly believe that they know everything and you know nothing.
    What classy ladies, eh?!

  12. while i do think may is an idiot, 60% of canadians vote for one socialist party or another. stupid canadians? could be.
