I’m the first to harp about the liberal bias in the media, but this is currently the lead headline story on CNN.com and CBS news website. What exactly are they missing?
CNN: “Lieberman: McCain best choice to lead”
CBS: “Lieberman Praises McCain, Knocks Obama”
I think the point the linked quote is making is that in the frenzy over a 17 year old kid’s pregnancy, the major political story of the day is being ignored by so-called professional journalism.

On that, I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately, society has been dumbed down to the point that any story with tabloid qualities immediately becomes the focal point (see also Couillard, Julie)

Palin is not an Alaskan Separatist either, and has never belonged to that party. The New York Times has retracted that story because their was never any evidence for it, but they were plenty happy to get the smear from the Oppo Research department for a “new kind of politics” out their quick enough.
Her husband once belonged to that party. Now that you know, the next time you repeat that claim, understand that you are lying.

I went by the CBC this morning and couldn’t even see the windows vibrating.

Anybody with family knows that with sons and daughters at any age above 12 years old they can get into kid problems. Wrong crowd, wrong party, wrong situation can cause the problem of bring a child into the world or the daughter having an abortion. Anybody that can say they have never had to worry about the kids is lying. You always worry that it can happen. All you can teach them is the values you believe in and they decide what to do about it and all parents wish that when it does happen, “that all your teaching, bitching, out-smarting them, bullying them, disciplining them and raising them will come out right.

Not once it has been mentioned that Sarah probably joined PTA, Town Council, Government for the betterment of schooling, community and state.
