If You Love Your Country

Giving to your party is the best way to give to your country,”

“You will save our country from the things we don’t want, like (Prime Minister) Stephen Harper, (Environment Minister) John Baird and (government House leader) Peter Van Loan,”

“The Liberal party of Canada needs money, but has a lot of courage and determination,”

After all, legal bills can stack up and up.
AND UP.

  1. What happened to all the money they stole? See the Montreal Suburban this week on the need for a new inquiry since the Gomery inquiry didn’t have a wide enough mandate.

  2. Maybe the Nutty professor can take that ten gallon hat off of his two gallon head and go sit on a streetcorner hoping for nickles and dimes.

  3. Ezra Levant
is far more worthy of donations after being hit with a nuisance lawsuit by,er, Guess Who, the same individual who has now changed his July 4 blog headline from “I did it, partly, to make Levant’s head explode” to “I did it, partly, to make someone’s head explode.”

  4. Exactly, shaken. What about the Liberal Party returning to the taxpayer all the millions they stole from that taxpayer?

  5. I am assuming that Stephane Dion has left Alberta, and if so, Albertans can rest easy as we will have then re-acquired our rat-free status.

  6. It’s too bad Canadians are so soft because if they were like my fellow Texans, Dion would have been gone along time ago.

Yo – Bush, No, we need Dion around. He’s a great addition to Harper’s campaign.

  9. When you really think about it, only in a tin pot dictatorship, could the rulling party steal $200 million dollars and get away with it. This is the real legacy of the Liberal Party Of Canada. And Dion, a small man, begging for nickles and dimes -Pathetic.

  10. Citoyen Dion vs. Screwed.
    Dr. Bowdler vs Swift:
“Not only does he [Swift] insist on pointing out that otherwise repulsively hairy male yahoos are bald on their buttocks (“except about the Anus”), while the sagging breasts of the females “often reached almost to the Ground,” he will go out of his way to specify that when the Lilliputian army marched, twenty-four abreast, between Gulliver’s legs, some of the younger officers were unable to resist looking up to see if they could catch a glimpse of his genitals through his ragged breeches, or inexpressibles. (They could, and were about equally divided between “Laughter and Admiration.”) This sort of thing was intolerable.”(H/Tjaffebros)
    …-
“”I will not use the word that he used,” Dion said. “The prime minister should always show the example, especially to our youth, never being vulgar.” (canwest)

  11. Dion is a really great help to the Conservative campaign, he provides us with the best ever ads, straight from the horse’s a..er..mouth.
Nothing better than that, no denying what was said.
No doubt Dion has left Alberta, he probably returned his cowboy outfit to the costume rental as well.

  12. If the Libranos wish to complain about the rules for fund raising they need only go after their esteemed former leader, Jean Chretien, he’s the architect of the new rules.
It’s difficult to understand why he’d cut off their main base for donations. He seems to have had it in for the Liberals chances of finding a leader who could break his record of consecutive majorities.
Selfish for sure, his game had only himself in mind and how he could best screw Martin.

Yes he has. Changed out for his Borat, Mr. Bean and his brand new Jolly Green Giant costume.

  14. Liz J,
The Liberals were working on eliminating private funding for elections, in favour of public funding based on percentage of the popular vote, because with the Progressive Conservative and Reform/Aliance parties as seperate entities the Liberals would be able to start a feed-back loop where they would (eventually) be entirely dominant in the country …

  15. Speaking of stolen money or wrongly placed taxpayer funds, we all should turn ones attention to the $250 million that Cretin gave the Turdeau Foundation, there have recently been many grants given out, it would be very embarrassing for the Lieberals if it was found out that any of that money has found it’s way into the the Lieberal Party’s coffers in the form of loans or donations, would it not?

  16. Hey, just a thought, but maybe the Lieberals will have to invoke the underground economy policies to put gas in their tanks and buy hot dogs and Koolaid for all their summer trekking about to sell Steffi’s Green Shaft.

  17. Peter van Loan? I had no idea he even ranked on the list of scary people from whom the country must be saved, let alone at number three. What has he done?

  18. What has Peter Van Loan done?
Embarrass the LIberals almost every day by pointing out the stupidity and ignorance they display.
The days he did not do that …were days off.

  19. OT here, and not sure if anyone else posted re same, but check out top link at Bourque on PMSH and his leadership (story from the UK).Can’t wait to see if Boag leads the National Disgrace with that story!

  20. “In 2007, the Conservative party raised almost $17 million from 107,492 contributors while the Liberal party declared $4.5 million from 23,442 people, barely placing it ahead of the New Democratic Party.

Which proves again how liberals (the oh so caring left) are cheapskates and the conservatives (the no BS people) are far more generous.
    I love this.

  21. Liberals won’t give to liberals, just because they don’t trust each other. Liberals have a bad habit of lining their pockets. They are broke and will remain broke.

  22. It’s interesting to note that “The Green Shift” company, feels its name has been damaged by having its name associated with the Canadian Liberal Party.
I’m not saying it has or has not, only that ‘The Green Shift” company, feels it’s damaging…
and well, my heart goes out to them… (no sarc.)

  23. Is Harper afraid of Bush? if he is not listening to him?
what Bush may done or will do to Harper if he isnot listening to his order

  24. Liberal support is weak, even though the polls suggest the usual “statistical tie”. Apparently the would-be supporters of the Liberals are not putting up their own cash, and Power Corp. et al cannot step in to shore up the liberal reserves.
Only a biased Liberal court system can save them from the assorted legal woes they have been amassing since Christmas.
As much as I would enjoy the utter demise of the federal Liberals, somehow they will sidestep the gallows and live to cheat and steal another day. Only the Liberals would think the path back to power could be laid by proposing a brand new tax on energy.

  25. From the Star story: “The plan asks Liberals to commit to monthly contributions to the party, a riding association or both, on a scale that ranges from $5 to $91.66. In return, supporters are invited to 120 hours a year of online chats with senior Liberal MPs and executives.”
Jeez, I’d pay to avoid such “chats”. It reminds me of the old joke where the first prize in a contest is a week in Somewhere-Or-Other and the second prize is two weeks.
