When our* best talent moved to the US….
Anybody who believes the current Supreme Court looks like America needs to take a few more trips on a Greyhound bus. All the judges are white and/or old; most are both.
A toss away comment from an sloppy op-ed? Not quite. This is Dahlia Lithwick’s “User’s Guide” to the Supreme Court – in Newsweek.
h/t Brutally Honest

Well, it’s good to see the US get some of our dregs too.
So is this cunned stunt proposing affirmative action in the supreme court too?
I suppose the Usual Suspects will howl ‘Racism!’ but screw them. I will stick with the old white guys in the courts AND in the Whitehouse, thanks. I have seen countries that put coloured communists in charge and it does nothing for me.
Doesn’t Clarence Thomas spend the breaks tooling around the country’s backroads in his RV? I guarantee you that’s a lot closer to “America” than Ginsburg ever goes.
Or Lithwick, come to think of it. . .
Except for that one black one…who comes from a dirt poor self-made background. Lithwick: dumbass.
How often does our gal hop on a Greyhound for her roadtrips? Oh, I get it, it’s a metaphor;no wonder she’s thought of as one of the finest legal thinkers anywhere.
If it were up to the president to do anything more than recommend the appointees I’d say that Lithwick had a point. Not that I’d ever agree with her motivation or her obvious desired outcomes.
This is ONE are where GW failed to lobby hard enough for his choices and now we get this crap.
For my money you can’t have ENOUGH old white guys around when it comes to making important decisions and on the SC you can’t have it Conservative Enough!
more boring racism at SDA.
Quel surprise.
“For my money you can’t have ENOUGH old white guys around…”
No, thanks: I’ll take Justice Thomas over Justice Stevens any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
Another moonbat whines racism.
Quel surprise.
Yeah Dave … I excluded Thomas and ignored the fact that there are Old White guy crypto commies and dipshits.
My bad ….
Their are thousands of small newspapers staffed by editors who would have caught this sloppy error and told the rookie reporter who made the mistake to smarten up…or else.
But it gets by at Newsweek, written by somebody who supposedly should have some special knowledge of her subject. Pathetic.
“Their are”
Ouch, I mean “there are”…I’m watching Perfect Storm, it’s just getting interesting.
( What the heck, good enough for Newsweek.)
I felt very good after canceling Time, Newsweek, and my local paper. I save money and I lowered my carbon footprint too. Whatever that is.
